You can take it or leave it. And when you do it, you distinctly feel like something is “drained” or energetically lost; because it is Men who claim to enjoy kissing are in reality just enjoying the transient sense of sexual validation. He will want sex, hugs, back scratching, etc, as basic physical touch. But in terms of kissing he will not care. This is the experience of all close male friends, and men as a general species Instead, you can simply choose to have a boundary where you do not kiss her on the mouth. For instance, if she painted something beautiful, I will give a forehead kiss. Or if she was supportive and calm, I will give a forehead kiss. But never do I touch my mouth to hers. It’s a simple momentary peck, my lips on her forehead. Sometimes, if I am particularly pleased, I hold her head as I do it. This is more fulfilling to a woman than a thousand mouth kisses; it’s how her father would treat her at his best This is all that is required.
