@LP_CLC @LondonRiverSFW @RandPaul Rubbish Article I, Sect 8 grants Congress the power to establish a uniform Rule of Naturalization. All the Naturalization Acts in your time period referred to Foreigners as Aliens and stipulated their underage children were only granted citizenship after the parents naturalized.

@RandPaul When the Constitution was written - and until 1924 - there was no such thing as "not having legal status." So no, the legal status of parents never crossed their mind. Because it's not an enumerated power in the Constitution.

I introduced a Constitutional amendment to end birthright citizenship. The Constitution was never meant to guarantee citizenship to anyone born on U.S. soil, regardless of their parents' legal status. It's common sense. It's constitutional. And it's long overdue. justthenews.com/politics-polic…

@LondonRiverSFW Since you claim to be a JD student and a Madisonian constitutionalist, and now expert on Jefferson, thought this might be of interest to you. Hopefully it will start clearing your mind of that libertarian rot you've been feeding it with. liberty1.org/UVA1825.pdf

Amazing how we have Republicans convincing their voters that they need to be legislating on imaginary problems targeting people they’ve never met, never interacted with, and if they have, they didn’t know it. All to avoid real issues. Leave people alone.

Notable fact about this anti-transgender bathroom ban in Idaho: under state law you'd now face less of a penalty for pissing on the steps of the state capitol than using the "wrong" bathroom

@CommonplaceThe Nothing you are saying is effective as a rebuttal. It’s just more quotes that aren’t even relevant to the conversation. But Republicans haven’t a clue what conservatism or liberalism even are at this point so I wouldn’t expect anything better from you.

@LondonRiverSFW Well you plainly know how to rebuke. Refuting? not so much... "The trouble with our liberal friends is not that they're ignorant; it's just that they know so much that isn't so." ~Ronald Reagan FYI, here's how the Founders defined Liberty which obviously differs from yours.

@CommonplaceThe Selective Jefferson quotes are doing a lot of cardio here. “Life, liberty, and limited government” apparently got left out for budget reasons. If you think Jefferson advocated for communitarian moral order, then this is likely the only Jefferson quote you’ve read.

@libertyaboveall From a legislative perspective, the Legislature would be getting the credit. If I was the Amazing Ronaldo, I'd using my special powers to eliminate property taxes...

Its still shocking to me that Republicans aren't lining up to make DeSantis our next candidate... From a legislative perspective, there's just no comparison. Its hard to even find historical comparisons that match the absolute success that DeSantis has achieved in Florida. I can't wait to become a Floridian!

BREAKING: The new Florida map has passed in the state senate — It now heads to DeSantis' desk to be signed into law!

Have you ever noticed principled conservatives who enter a legislative body and then sell out immediately? Here is how leadership gets them to back down. I've seen this again and again. This is why you need a cohesive group like the @SFC_Network to fight back Yesterday's show: youtu.be/kNYoQW1ZiNo

@RMConservative @SFC_Network If people could be bothered to ever actually discern the policies and rhetoric of these so-called principled conservatives in the government and media, people would realize they were never principled or conservative to begin with.

@LizzieMarbach DeSantis could have been our POTUS but he dropped out of the race after losing in Iowa and immiedately endorsed (again) "the guy who betrays us on every issue." FWIW, the 2024 Republican Caucaus in Iowa only had a 15% turnout, to which Trump received roughly 7.6%.

@TheStaad Strange how that's the same argument used by monarchists against republicans, but then again... "That the Catholic Religion is most agreeable to a Monarchy, and the Protestant to a Republic." ~Baron de Montesquieu, The Spirit of Laws Funny how quickly the RCC banned that book..

America is hellbound because the true faith (Catholicism) has always been in the minority, and heretical Protestant sects have been the majority Protestantism is a slippery slope leading downhill to anarchy. You get to make up your own personal Jesus that is convenient to you That is beginning to change, thank God

Florida is the Freedom State—not New York. If David Jolly wants big-government control over healthcare, he’s in the wrong place. @Paul_Renner stands with @GovRonDeSantis to protect medical freedom and keep the government out of your personal decisions. The legislature should’ve done the same.

@Mark_McEathron There you go again with that Burkean conservatism that's based on custom and traditions, as is the English common law and Catholicism. Where as American conservatism returns to the source (constitutional and natural law) to correct errors from bad precedents.

@RonDeSantis Why don't you tell us how the delegates to the Constitutional Convention you're advocating for will be chosen? Will it be by the corrupt Congress, the corrupt State Legislatures, or 'We the People' who continually elect the corrupt Congress and State Legislatures?
