Dr Anele Hammond proposes a simple but powerful idea: if every Black person contributes just R1 a month, we could generate close to half a billion rand a year. That kind of collective effort can build real institutions and fund meaningful projects that directly uplift our communities. Would you participate and contribute R1?

A South African man said if you're white, you have a target on your back, and that his wife's grandfather was tortured, strangled, burned and m*rdered, but only after they gang r*ped his wife to death in front of him. Horrific.

@cb_doge Watching a government actively delay high-speed infrastructure while the rest of the continent rapidly connects is deeply frustrating for anyone who actually relies on the internet to make a living.

A lot of misinformation from legacy media about Starlink’s entry into South Africa. Here’s the truth 👇 • ❌ “Starlink wants to bypass B-BBEE” ✅ False — it supports transformation via EEIP, a legal framework already used by companies like Microsoft, IBM, and Amazon Web Services. • ❌ “Starlink is asking for special treatment” ✅ No — it’s asking for equal rules so ALL satellite operators can compete fairly. • ❌ “EEIP is less beneficial than equity deals” ✅ Reality — Starlink’s plan would connect 5,000 rural schools with FREE high-speed internet, impacting millions of students every year. • ❌ “It won’t create local impact” ✅ It will partner with local businesses, create jobs, and boost the economy (broadband growth = GDP growth). • ❌ “It will become a monopoly” ✅ Impossible — Starlink operates globally in a competitive market across 150+ countries. • ❌ “Security & privacy risks” ✅ It will fully comply with South African laws like every other country it operates in. • ❌ “Starlink is already operating illegally” ✅ Wrong — it is NOT operating because it is still waiting for a license.

Ramaphosa says South Africa does not have race laws, and @elonmusk and Starlink is not excluded because of such laws, but then he also says that Musk and Starlink are welcome to do business in South Africa once they comply with the race laws.

On 30 March 2026, in Pretoria’s Fred Nicholson Street, an 18-year-old, Dian Marais, was shot in the back by a taxi driver during a "road rage" incident. Dian was driving home from work with his brother when the taxi driver tried to force his way into their lane. When Dian refused, the driver got out, banged on their car, pulled a firearm and fired five shots as they drove away. One bullet passed through the boot and hit Dian in the back, fracturing his T12 vertebra. He was just 2 cm away from paralysis. He underwent surgery to remove the bullet at a Pretoria hospital and now faces extensive rehabilitation.

Why can’t white South Africans have nice things like electricity for 24 hours a day? Well because not all cultures have the same morals and values as you can see these black South Africans steal the power cables in broad daylight
