The D.C. Statehood Pledge

The honor of a lifetime. Thank you, TX-18.

As a Virginian, I have had the privilege of representation in Washington that other Americans have not. When I am in Congress, I will cast my vote in favor of statehood for DC and Puerto Rico so that every American has their say in Washington.

Our democracy only works when everyone has a voice. This includes the millions of people across the country who have experienced violence and exploitation – including the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse, who joined me in the gallery this evening at my swearing in.

(1/2) Humbled to be sworn in to serve the people of Virginia’s 11th District. On day one, I took to the House floor to highlight how Trump’s DOGE cuts and reckless policies are hurting Fairfax families.

Congressional Republicans should focus on their own constituents—who are paying more for groceries and losing health care thanks to the Big BS Bill—instead of meddling in D.C. to push their MAGA agenda. ⬇️
