I thought I would get some practice reading aloud for the baby by reading the short story that the 2016 movie ‘Arrival’ is based on to my husband last night. Turns out, reading over 50 pages was quite exhausting, but very cool to see how the book differs from the movie. (I think the only reason I was able to do it was from years of news anchoring experience, but luckily baby books won’t be that long 😂) Highly recommend arrival if you just saw ‘Project Hail Mary’ and want to see something else quite incredible.

That would require a lot of resources that I’m not sure how I would even begin to get access to. To start you need photographers taking pics of every single car from the same angles every single session. That alone is extremely difficult and expensive. Of course people cover F1 without that kind of access but for my style of content that’s what I would need.

I often sympathise with flat earthers because truly. How do you look at stuff like this and not question its reality. Its incredible.

@DanGheesling There are absolutely cases of optical disc rot, I have CD’s from the 80’s which became unreadable because of oxidation the metal layer containing the pits. There have been multiple ‘optimizations’ in disc manufacturing which unintentionally reduced disc lifetime.
