Quay named it after his boyhood hero, Isambard Kingdom Brunel and due to problems with privatization only got used at mainline stations, the individual rail operators having their own identities.

Tomorrow’s #fontsunday is railway station names and will be guest-hosted by @BeautyOfTranspt. Send in your train/metro/tram station examples from noon. This sign at King's Cross is set in Brunel, a typeface shortly to be replaced by @networkrail's new Rail Alphabet 2.

@jamesmurray_ldn @ollywainwright Germany was aways a sensible country. Nederlands too has rent control. Rents can go up no more than the rate of inflation. If you think you pay too much rent you can within 6 months of renting an apartment challenge the rent legally. Rent for lower incomes is subsided.
