🚨WATCH: A Maine mother tearfully recalls her daughter losing to a transgender athlete at a track and field meet while urging the state legislature to support separating school sports based on biological sex. Marianne Hunsinger spoke to the Maine Legislature's Judiciary Committee on Tuesday about the "Act to Designate School Sports Participation and Facilities by Sex." She described her daughter Olivia, a pole vaulter, feeling crushed at the state track and field championships after realizing she lost to the biological male. "When I told her, her face just fell and as a mother, it was really hard to watch her feel so rejected and lost," Hunsinger said. Hunsinger demanded lawmakers "remember the courage" of both her daughter and other female athletes. "And if you don't, look Olivia in the eye and tell her why you won't, why she's not worth and her mental health isn't worth protecting," she said. The committee decided later Tuesday not to move forward with the legislation, instead sending it to voters as a ballot question this November.

@JuryTrialReport @OffThePress1 I agree that trans girls have a right to compete, but in no way are they owed a female competitive field. They wish they were females, that doesn’t make them so. Acknowledging this truth isn’t a hate crime, it’s common sense. Males compete with the others males.
