@Combat_learjet There was a letter doing the rounds in Europe a while back where the French triangulated some inappropriate guard transmissions onto a particular flight. They wrote to the company identifying the flight. Wish I could find it again!

Damn… take a close look at the state of this China Airlines A350 door. An Airbus A320 passenger door already runs you about $700,000–$800,000 USD. Scale that up to the bigger, more advanced composite A350 door (plus hinges, seals, actuators, and the full surrounding frame/fuselage structure) and you’re easily looking at a million dollars or more just for the door itself. Now the real work begins: full heavy inspections of the entire door surround and adjacent structure to make sure nothing else was compromised. This is gonna be a proper heavy maintenance job.... expensive, time-consuming, and the jet will be out of service for a while. Ground handling stuff like this always hits different. One small slip and you’re staring at seven-figure repairs on a multi million $ airplane. Context :This is the left forward passenger door on their A350-900 (B-18902) that got wrecked today at Melbourne Airport. The plane rolled backward while it was still hooked up to the aerobridge on flight CI58 to Taipei. No passengers on board, but the damage to the hinges is nasty... and the aerobridge took a hit too. Flight cancelled on the spot.
