In addition to the bioaerosol risk, ultrasonic humidifiers aerosolize minerals found in tap water. This transforms “hard water” into ultrafine particles that create a white film on surfaces and, when inhaled, can lead to respiratory distress. Use RO water, or better yet, distilled water, to minimize this.

@evsmiles For your Highland 3 - Did the 2026 update split the VCFront Controller module (under the Low Voltage settings under service mode) into “2” controllers?

@greentheonly @DirtyTesLa @NotATeslaApp Looks like the Front Body Controller (VCFront) for the refreshed Juniper Model Y also been revised for the HW4.5 computer. Couldn’t access the part label but the ID label notes “AP45”. #HW4point5 #AI4point5 Additionally, the VCFront module in service mode has been split into two (virtually?) — “VCFront”which routes to the PCS and “VCBATT” which routes to the LV Battery. On factory software 2025.44.200. Not sure if this setup is consistent with all Junipers or specific to HW4.5, but VCFront is just one module on legacy Y’s. Will getting access to Service Mode + reveal any new bits and bobs software-wise, @TESLA_winston? For some reason when I put the vehicle’s VIN into the Tesla EPC it returns a “Catalog not available for this VIN” message.

@Eric5un @greentheonly @DirtyTesLa @NotATeslaApp After more research mine is the old unfortunately. Missed it by a couple weeks. Happy to have 4.5 but stings to just miss this change. Not even a month of ownership. According to Tesla service there’s no path to upgrade at the moment.

@Eric5un @greentheonly @DirtyTesLa @NotATeslaApp You got the new screen without the black headliner? I have the computer and front housing but having a hard time confirming the new screen. The housing measures 16 inch dead on but the actual display area measures 15.5ish. No black headliner.

@greentheonly looks like there’s two VCFronts (or at least a virtual device)? In service mode, VCFront is split in two with one running to LV battery, the other to PCS. Wasn’t present on legacy Y, not sure if Juniper-specific or more recent update.

@JasonFranciosa @greentheonly @DirtyTesLa @NotATeslaApp It’s quite easy—pull down the upper carpet liner (it houses a light and vents) below the glovebox. It’s attached by a push clip towards the door and two magnets,no tools necessary. Just be careful not to pull too quickly towards the left where the speaker line is connected
