Amazon is holding a mandatory meeting about AI breaking its systems. The official framing is "part of normal business." The briefing note describes a trend of incidents with "high blast radius" caused by "Gen-AI assisted changes" for which "best practices and safeguards are not yet fully established." Translation to human language: we gave AI to engineers and things keep breaking? The response for now? Junior and mid-level engineers can no longer push AI-assisted code without a senior signing off. AWS spent 13 hours recovering after its own AI coding tool, asked to make some changes, decided instead to delete and recreate the environment (the software equivalent of fixing a leaky tap by knocking down the wall). Amazon called that an "extremely limited event" (the affected tool served customers in mainland China).

Not saying you’re an asshole. I’m saying you’re likely out of context in believing you’re likable enough to get a job in 2026. There is a giant sea of qualified candidates right now and if you’re treating today’s market like the one we had in 2017-2022 you’re cooked. Here’s my 1-5 ‘Likability Index’ based on recruiter interview experience. Think u rank low? You don’t need a personality lobotomy to change it, you just need a gameplan. If you’re consistently not getting past first and second round interviews, I’m talking to you.

it was 2016 and a lot of narcotics were being consumed… i’d be lying to you if i said i remembered the specifics. shit was heart breaking tho. one of our boys had this shed he turned into a mini studio where we’d all link up and work on our creative ventures. dayzo was living out of there and grinding beats 24/7. i wanna say he fought for about 8 months trying to get any sort of credit before running out of money and then he just packed his bags, moved to arizona, and left his dreams behind. just another piece of lore to this song.. and a reminder of just how cold this industry is
