Hitler was far left. Think of a line starting from full and total control of government (socialism/communism/any form of collectivism) to no centralized control (anarchy). The middle is limited government to provide property rights, safety and security. Now tell me how can far right can control people without any control at all?

Something I told 14 yo: There's a kind of politician who tells people "Your life is bad because <outgroup> stole what's rightfully yours. Vote for me and I'll get it back for you." They do it on both the left (Lenin) and right (Hitler), and they're invariably bad news.

The profit goes to a small number for sure, but the benefits go to almost everyone. Yeah, @elonmusk profits when I pay my Tesla lease every month. But when I hit the FSD button and my care MAGICALLY TAKES ME PLACES, I am absolutely the beneficiary. In fact, I kinda could care less how much he profits, so long as that button does its thing. it’s impossible to really convey the scale of change ai is going to have on society. sam wrote an essay saying superintelligence is close. the founder of anthropic has said recursive self-improvement is close. certain roles are already 90% automated, and the mission of all labs is to bring this level of automation into all roles. history suggests that when we automate a lot of work, the profit goes to a small number of people. that problem has had a solution in the past because the automation was narrow. this technology is heading toward superintelligence and generality. so we’ll need to do something more than hit and hope.
