Went to a Idli-Vada outlet near my house, we used to eat often from there, but it was closed for about two months and they reopened yesterday, so I went and had one plate of Idli Vada and asked how much to pay, he told me Sir, rate badh gaya hain, 70 per plate ho gaya hain, because cylinders are very expensive’. I told him that is perfectly all right, paid the amount and left. What is still bothering me is he had guilt while saying that rate badh gaya hain and he was feeling sorry about.

Tata Motors deserves to be num 1 in EVs because their effort is genuine to sell EVs in passenger segment and not just to avoid fines with CAFE norms in place. Punch EV & Nexon EV are top cars under 16L for 70:30 use and better than ICE cars for city use if you can have a charger at home, 1200+ km running and will keep the car for 8+ yrs. Punch EV deserves massive success and these cars are fairly reliable too as per our ownership reviews for the last two years.

@GabaSharan @abhishekcode42 My experience is 100% positive with buying 2 AC, 1 Fridge, 2 TV, 5-6 phones over 40k, PS5, XBox etc all online... Even recently from RD online an AC. Delivery in 1 day and FREE installation done next day. In RD physical store price was 37k+ installation. Maybe I am lucky.

If you're feeling hot this Summer and considering buying a new AC? Don't buy it from FLIPKART. Their service is absolutely disgusting. AC will get delivered and they will take weeks to install it. They only care till you click on the buy button.

Same happens with us. Clients keep on sitting at sidelines & keep on asking franchise nos. One tried to be extra smart & said I confirmed franchise on call last year now you are saying fees is increased. I told him that he should have invested with us in 2019, it was free LOL

2 months ago, a buyer from Delhi came to our factory. He walked through the entire setup, criticized whatever he could, and spoke like he was going to do big business with us. He liked our product, asked for samples and full specs, and we shared everything without delay. We quoted INR 410 for 10,000 pieces, payment in cash. Then the calls started. Not with clear decisions, but with small complaints about things that did not really matter. While we responded properly and took in whatever feedback we could, we also made it clear what we could change and what we could not. Then came the haggling. He countered at INR 390. After some back and forth, he finally confirmed at INR 400. He said “done,” asked for the PI, we sent it, and then he went completely silent for a week. No calls, no messages. During that same time, all material costs went up. Then suddenly, he called again and said he was ready to confirm, but now he wanted only 3,000 pieces and also asked for a 4% cash discount (even though the quotation was already based on cash), as if he was doing us a favor. Work was slow and we had some stock, so after thinking it through, we agreed to a 1% discount and sent a revised PI. Once again, silence. After a few days, he said he was in China and claimed prices there were cheaper. I knew that was not true, so I simply wished him well and told him to buy from China. But he came back again, saying he still wanted to buy from us. This time, he asked for a full cost breakdown including plastic, electronics, labor, packing, and our profit. We work transparently, so we shared it. Then he said our profit was too high and demanded that we reduce it. We told him cost is a fact, profit is our principle, and flatly refused. He kept pushing. He asked for detailed molding costs like plastic rates, cycle time, burn loss, and labor. That was the point where it was no longer about business. It was about control. So instead of arguing, we calmly told him the goods were sold out. He got livid, started shouting, and said we had no right to sell the goods since he had already “confirmed the order.” I stayed calm, said sorry, and ended the conversation. Now, even if he comes back ready to pay more, I will not supply to him. I have seen how these deals end. They always bring stress, delays, and problems. Some business gives you money but takes away your peace. Over time, you learn it is better to do less business with the right people than chase more business with the wrong ones. I would rather have fewer orders, better sleep, and a clear mind than deal with this kind of harassment.

Today is AGNIS’s LAST DAY in its current avatar April 29th 🔥 Exactly 2 years since I opened the shutters in May 2024. Started with just 100 customers a month, Today? 1200+ per month From a tiny 6-seater to what it is now… this chapter ends today. But a bigger one begins tomorrow. ❤️ I am a 1st-gen entrepreneur with ZERO guidance or godfather, or family gen wealth Quit my job, invested 5-8 lakhs of my job savings, and became the cashier, cook, founder, cleaner everything, working 15-18 hrs a day alone was a joy & also lonely part 😅 Family & close friends turned their backs(stopped supporting, talking, ignoring hehe eveything). 3 months in, I had lost all my savings because it didnt go as planned(location not good, zero marketing)high food cost, daily wastages due to concept of Fresh not frozen, seafood used to literally THROW AWAY😭 and was staring at a closed shutter One regular customer casually asked, “Why don’t you try burgers?” That single line changed everything but had to go sevral iterations Ghee Roast Burger → FAILED US-style Frozen Patty Burger → FAILED Thigh Burger → FAILED But the Coastal Thigh Burger? It HIT. 🔥 November 2024, a few Yenepoya med students from Deralakatte came via referrals. They loved it so much they flooded their groups. For the next 2 months, nearly 80% of Yenepoya Medical students were showing up daily, all the way from Deralakatte. Then it spread like wildfire: Father Mullers → AJ Shetty → KMC. And then @kripalamanna sir walked in. His visit 5X’d my customer base overnight and pushed me to keep the consistency insane till today & I can produly say nearly 95% of sirs customers went back HAPPY. Sir, I can never thank you enough. 🙏 So yes… today is the LAST DAY of this version of AGNIS But we’re not closing. We’re EXPANDING. Walls are coming down. The shop behind us is now ours, 6-seater becomes a 15-seater fresh-to-order live kitchen experience 1-month deadline. Everything starts from ZERO again. Veer tasted fruit juice first time yesterday, he is turning two next month. Yes, first time. We were attending a function and someone gave him the juice, I didn't stop him. But then I realized, at home he is daily seeing me eating usual dal rice paneer, seeing my wife eating eggs or chicken. He eats same food everyday. Growing at usual rate, active and weight is great. Why should I stop him from drinking a juice. He is yet to taste a chocolate. Most parents don’t realize this, but early exposure to sugar is not just about calories or “health”. It’s about conditioning. There’s solid research showing that repeated exposure to high-sugar foods in early childhood increases preference for sweetness later in life. Kids aren’t born craving ultra-sweet foods at this level. That’s trained. The World Health Organization recommends limiting free sugars to less than 10% of total energy intake, and ideally below 5% for additional health benefits, especially in children. Not because one juice is harmful, but because patterns matter. And that’s where psychology comes in. There’s a concept called “mere exposure effect”. The more frequently a child is exposed to a certain taste, the more they begin to prefer it. It works both ways. Give them sugary foods daily, they crave sugar. Give them simple home food daily, that becomes their normal. Right now, Veer’s “normal” is dal, rice, paneer, eggs, chicken. That’s a massive win. But here’s the flip side, and this is where I think most people get it wrong. Over-restriction can backfire. Kids who grow up with extremely rigid food rules often develop higher curiosity, even obsession, around “forbidden foods”. When they finally get access, they don’t just try it, they over consume it. You’ll see this all the time. The kid who was never allowed chocolate ends up eating 5 in one go at a birthday party.
