SHADOW....Murdered by @RishiSunak mandatory Spay Op!! 😭🌈💔 From Michele Gauls #UK: So here goes nothing My baby shadow was born 08.10.21 she was the smallest of the whole liter and due to that she nearly died, so me and my sister helped her as much as we possibly could to the point where she actually started to look for me instead of her mum, we bottle fed her 🥰 I used every opportunity to be around her and make sure she got everything she needed and probably tons more (proper spoilt)... As she grew life got more interesting all her little quirks just made life so precious and made me enjoy more too... Then this stupid ridiculous ban came up and because of the area where we live I had no other choice as to get her spayed, I contacted a few vets to help out some didn't even think twice and directly said no we can't help so I had to go to vet 1, they did the normal pre-op and when the results came back they said she is good for surgery.... vet 1 offered blood testing but it wouldve been around £250 or more, on the 12th of January 2024 was her spay and from there it all went to shit... Apparently every incision they made just bled, they did call me to tell me of this but never gave me the option of putting her down because of this so they did the rest stitched her up and sent her home, she did bleed a bit on the same day and the day after but I was told from vet 2 said it was just "bad luck" on vet 1 their behalf, shadow did however come round and was healing good... a good week before she was pts I noticed that she didn't really want any food and was looking all-round not very good so I went back to vet 1 and requested her to be seen they took her temperature and found out she was over 40° but for further examinations I'd have to pay first somewhat 600£ but over klarna via 3 installments and one of them would've need to be done straight away but I didn't have 200 pounds straight away on me,(the spay costed nearly £1300) so i called my husband to ask what i should do and he said tell them thanks but no thanks we'll get a second opinion what we then did...(vet 1 never gave us any sort of diagnosis) this was on the 11th of jan and on the very same evening we had a letter from the rspca saying they need to see to our dog Shadow... We called Vet 2 on the 12th that we need a emergency appointment to what they agreed with so far so good.... The lovely nurse who took us on and saw to shadow said right from the beginning what she would recommend and what the possibilities are as to why shadow is sick So she checked shadows abdomen and noticed a nearly tennis ball large lump and even showed me so she offered us an ultrasound and said it could be a foreign body or a cancerous mass, so they did the ultrasound and she did say she couldn't clearly see what it would be and said plainly we can do mris xrays but it'll lead to the fact that we have to open her up to investigate deeper.... so they opened her up and rang us 30mins later to say it is a foreign body and it is a medical gauze what was not from them as they counted in but they would be quite confident to save her so another 20mins later they rang us again saying that they cannot save shadow and if we wanted them to still try but her bowels were perforated to a severe point it wouldn't have been reasonable so we decided to put her to sleep.... Vet 1 just wanted to make so much money out of Shadow as they possibly could, I do have a few witnesses that can also say that they wanted higher amounts of money first before anything else... Vet 2 also mentioned that shadow had a slight hyperthyroidism problem but that would've been a concerning point if I wanted to breed shadow... Shadow also never displayed any sort of bleeding problems at vet 2 during their surgery... Vet 1 also demanded throughout the whole time the vet papers from vet 2 This has affected my family to the point that even my husband was utterly shocked and he was the one who actually didn't really want dogs until shadow came along.... I'm sorry for the long text This is my complaint email ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Another innocent family member brutally tortured and killed by this barbaric nation for NO REASON!! I'm sure the filthy politicians have forgotten all about the #XLBullyBan just like they forgot about the pit bull ban since 1991!! @Good_vibes_up @Lunaandmandylou @RishiSunak I'm so sorry for you, your family & Shadow 💔 Vet 1 sounds like they need suing, not just because of compensation, they need to be investigated by whoever investigates bad practice. Poor Shadow 💔
