Hyundai wants to sell 500,000 cars in China soon, and this wedge-shaped sedan could get them there. insideevs.com/news/794010/io…

@lost_in_tech Battery, it's connector and those two wires are hot. The LED is lit by witchcraft, I'm also concerned.
English

I'm slightly concerned about the everything

ok guys i was wrong, AI is getting really good at hardware

@lost_in_tech ahh, was mostly joking. Nothing against PCB fabs or the sponsorships. It's sort of like how financial influencers promote audiobooks, comedians for therapy shops, and social advice influencers promoting grocery kit delivery. I realize some printer shops try to steer reviews tho.
English

@GuruMN I suppose it ought to be obvious that running a sponsor segment or sponsored video does not make me a company's internal marketing arm.
At some point I might explain what's going on 🤔🤔🤔 but it's about reviews, as usual.

@star_rose_three @CanuckCreator Same here, but often I try to download the STLs and it's missing files that should be in other "profiles" despite trying to select and download the STL after chosing that profile. It's a garbage experience.
English

@GuruMN @CanuckCreator That’s why I download the stls 99% of the time. Plus I don’t own a Bambu printer

@backgotback I thought you were younger than me, didn't know we were the same, at least today. Have a good birthday tomorrow.

@lost_in_tech Pretty sure plenty of people in the US probably think UK and England are synonymous and they also probably couldn't put Scotland on the map. You could probably get laughs of having people loudly read northern Ireland city names too.
English

fun fact, a great way to make friends in Wales is to go there and shout "I'm in England!"

@CanuckCreator Running cold water when someone is taking a shower used to be an issue before pressure balance valves became a code requirement in most places in the 1990s. The new type of valve will equalize the pressure on the opposite pipe if either cold or hot pressure drops.

@lost_in_tech No kidding, either rage bait or just generalized 'engagement' baiting. If a brake pad "fell off" their caliper or entire wheel would be gone too, likely crash involved. Had a friend who crashed a car, broke all caliper mounts but brakes still worked, drove all the way back home.
English

It's Rage bait. If we entertain the idea that somehow this actually happened even though it's so captive you usually have to hit it a lot with a sledgehammer...the piston would also pop out, and the entirety of the brake fluid. 🤣
Monetising attention seeking..working out well

Guys what is this that fell out of my car

@chrismunns @ecobee Aren't they supposed to have a 3 year warranty or something, or are you already beyond that?
English

I think my @ecobee thermostats are finally toast. What do people like these days that doesn’t seem to suck?
English
@CanuckCreator Polyisocyanurate is fire resistant. EPS and XPS can lose structure if in contact with any temperature within the 70ish C range and as others have mentioned can burn. A buddy made a solar heater box with an XPS back and the sun melted a hole, next one was polyiso.
English
@lost_in_tech It's a good question because once you get beyond the 320c materials, you now need a much hotter bed and actively heated chamber temps than those ~300c materials need if the print has any real z height to it.
English
@CanuckCreator No. I've probably made about 1kg of waste plastic in the past 5 years of printing and any cost for just equipment is way more than even a years supply of filament for me. I print single digit kg annually.
English
@CanuckCreator Knowing you generally don't use much PLA compared to other materials, it looks like you've found a good use for PLA ;)
