EXC: .@GoodwinMJ’s new book “Suicide of a Nation: Immigration, Islam, Identity” is out now, and I’m only 5 chapters in and have found a huge amount of what appears to be false quotes and basic misinterpretations of data, that appear to be AI hallucinations. Matthew, can you explain the claims you made in the book that I’ve outlined in the below thread?

@FabianoCaruana not trying to downplay anyones struggles - but for me on chesscom ive only had connection issues when in a bad area for internet / weather issues. During normal circumstances im ok 100% of the time. Seems like a rare or likely circumstantial problem for most

The chesscom thing disconnected me and gave me a 0 point bye in round 8 of their event where only 2 places qualify and everyone is within half a point of each other :) my internet didn't drop out, I was active in the play zone and as soon as the break timer ended it auto forfeits me. Pretty sure I'm not the only one affected by this bug too. It doesn't even give a time penalty, just instantly forfeits you.

Someone raided into my stream today and forgot to turn off their stream afterwards. I usually click on people's names and show off their channel on my stream so i alerted them they were still live. After my stream, (I was nosey), I went back to watch after they raided and the small smiles, little laughs, and attention they paid to my stream as they watched was so validating. Streamers never get to see viewers watch them live or hear them laugh; its all silent over here and we just have to trust that we are making good content. I want to remind you that although it may sound quiet when you're live, you're making people smile. And that's a beautiful thing

So Femi has responded telling me to go ahead and seek legal advice and report him to the police. So that’s what I shall do. Please do not interact with him on social Media. He’s getting paid for clicks and likes.

Do people actually like playing 2v8 survivor or is everyone collectively pretending to find it fun because I feel like the latter is more likely

@exQUIZitely I had an old Maxtor drive seize up during one of my habitual defrags. Thankfully since everything was clustered in chunks I was able to recover quite a bit with Spinrite. Also:

Some of you will be old enough to remember this. Defragging - and it actually did serve a purpose. It was essential for optimizing slow, mechanical hard drives by rearranging scattered data into contiguous blocks. By doing so increased data load times (since the physical head of the hard drive didn't have to move that much). However, what I remember most was the almost hypnotical satisfaction of seeing all those little blocks flashing, being organized, and just "knowing" that it was good for my computer. In times when you fiddled around with autoxec.bat and config.sys, when every little Kilobyte of RAM mattered, and when hard drives were measured in Megabytes, not Terrabytes, the weekly routine of defragging almost felt like cleaning up your room.

Name your favourite #Commodore64 game ever! ME: Bruce Lee (1984) by Datasoft was the first Commodore 64 game I ever played with my father — and one of the only times we really bonded. The game was great as a single-player experience, but it was even more fun in two-player mode. The Commodore 64 was all about making memories. Share yours below. Do you want to relive your Commodore 64 glory days? I am giving away a Commodore 64 Ultimate this month, Subscribe for USD3/month for monthly giveaways and more. Hit that purple button.

Did you play this one back in the day? I was never that good at FPS games, but there were so many great ones to choose from in the 90s, that they often ended up in our LAN weekend sessions. One of those was Unreal Tournament (Epic Games, 1999). I loved the incredible variety of levels and its designs, which made it stand apart from other shooters of its era. Brilliant graphics, fluid gameplay (even on PCs that weren't high end, like the ones you would need for Quake III Arena for example), kickass sound, and your typical capture the flag or deathmatches. Many magazines gave it "Game of the Year" awards, the metacritic score was 94%, and if you ask any gamer what the best FPS of the 90s were, Unreal is definitely part of that group. I recently played it again and it has hardly aged.
