@TrueHypeStrong @GHBSmith Same and it doesn’t help the text says at that point. “Hang from the device in the middle and use force palm”… that cube is literally in the middle of the area you’re in at the time.

@GHBSmith NGL I felt real dumb cuz I knew I had to get to the circle but didn't realize right away I just had to climb up the wall to get out of the pit 😂.. I messed around with the cube in the middle of the pit for longer then I will admit 👀

If you struggle on the first puzzle in Crimson Desert. Some of the most talented creators and journalists I know struggled here.
It doesn't make you less of a "gamer". It's an unintuitive puzzle with cumbersome controls in an environment you've yet to understand.

@wesleytypes @DeMickyD KoA is awesome but the MMO to SP comparison is pretty much where the comparison ends. They are vastly different games

@SynthPotato @wesleytypes I’m about 3-4 hours into CD so far and although there is barely any story per say, the other games it’s getting compared to, control much MUCH better. It feels incredibly clunky and unresponsive. So that’s something those games def have over this… so far.

@wesleytypes Tbh when games with imo almost no story like BOTW/TOTK are praised to no end, it does feel like people give certain games a pass when it comes to this aspect

Crimson Desert sure is gorgeous, this town feels alive and ridiculously detailed.
Getting used to the controls, the choice of having GTA/RDR controls for the movement but Souls/AC combat controls is a weird one. Enjoying the game so far but the story has not hooked me at all

@GenePark I dont understand why so many people have attached their ego to Crimson Desert. What is going on here? The game is the most 7/10 thing imaginable. No narrative yet you're forced to play as generic sword and shield dude in an offline MMO world where nothing happens. So strange.

@slvdgee @thejolson For sure, that’s part of the OP comment I think because you dont see disabled people say they want the difficulty to be tuned down. They want accessibility options. People who aren’t disabled jsut say that to make themselves feel better about wanting an easier difficulty

Why do I never see disabled people talk like this? It’s exclusively non disabled people using them as shields to pretend expecting fans to actually play games is somehow ableist

@ONE_HOT_DRAGON I’m not really either but I did like BotW and TotK buuuuut those puzzles were fun and rewards were good… this doesn’t see like that’s the case here, so I’m also worried

@InDisGeoff Folks over at KF said no dragon 30hrs in. BUT I would bet content creators make guides for quick access to that.
For me, it seems it thrives for ppl who like BoTW and anyone looking for a Witcher'like will be disappointed.
Considering Im not the exploration/puzzle guy...idk 😬

@ONE_HOT_DRAGON Same. It def seems like a “the good is very good but the bad is very bad” type of game. I’m also afraid it takes forever to get to ride a dragon and I wonder if I’ll even get to see that lol

since i don’t like crimson desert’s combat feel, people are asking what combat feel i enjoy and ninja gaiden 4 last year is a great example. classic platinum games in general.

@JeremyPenter I really liked your take on the game. Went over the positives and didn’t sugar coat the negatives. It came off as a generally positive take but a be “cautious for now and maybe wait till they fix some things” when it’s good, it seems really good but the bad can be frustrating.

@wesleytypes @LateNightHalo That’s the issue with a lot of the community. If a game isn’t widely regarded as a 90 plus, the game is “mid” or trash. It’s like the entire “good” category is non existent.
