@travismkunze Yeah, we'll definitely do something like that, because I think I love that. The game @SatisfactoryAF does it with the game running in the background, just gives more depth to it. You need to plan your breaks in real life because the game runns while you are at break.

@JakobBuilds The pause menu would be cool as a coffee pot sim 😂 but seriously I think having the game still run even if you just “pause” is a good idea. It brings more reality to it. You want the work day to end, then you gotta turn off the game.

@JakobBuilds UI polish on pause menus is underrated. Players spend more idle time there than most devs realize, and a clean pause screen signals production quality across the whole game.

@JakobBuilds Permanent consequence systems are where most sim games chicken out and add soft undo mechanics to cut churn. Hold that line and the players who stick will defend your game harder than any review could.
