🇺🇸🇮🇷 Seymour Hersh, the journalist who correctly predicted the bombing of Iran's nuclear facilities and broke the Nord Stream story, says Trump's speech was a ground war announcement:
"Trump was telling the world that the ground war is on as of today.
Thousands of Navy SEALs and Army Rangers are either en route or soon will be to zones within striking range of the Strait of Hormuz."
He says Trump could have 50,000 fighters ready to clear the Strait or dig out enriched uranium from tunnels under the nuclear sites.
Hersh has one of the best track records in investigative journalism.
He doesn't say things like this casually.
If he's right, then Trump's speech wasn't about ending the war.
It was about starting the next phase of it, one the public hasn't been told about yet.

The JCPOA GUARANTEED Iran 300 kgs of 3.67% enriched uranium after 15 years -- 2031.
Obama never submitted it to Congress because it would have never passed.
If Iran's intentions were benign, why enrich 400 feet deep into a mountain.
Trump offered Iran all the uranium they wanted at energy production levels -- just no enrichment.
They said "No."
Obama WANTED a nuclear Iran as a counterbalance to Israel.
Those are just the facts. You can't make them go away.

Beyond which, Iran surrendered 97% of its enriched uranium and submitted to ongoing, intrusive inspections by experts from the IAEA. Trump could have improved on that deal & held Iran's nuclear program in check. But he saw it as an Obama legacy, so he ripped it up. Like the ACA.

If you look back at Trump’s comments over the past 40 years, his foreign policy has been the same.
He is not being run by other people. He has been very open about his stance on issues like Iran.

Fair enough, let me explain...
"Fake news! crude is at $110!" Yes, that's futures.
I posted dated Brent, which is the price of actual physical oil being bought and sold right now.
They're not the same thing and the gap between them is what should scare you.
Futures are bets on what oil will cost later.
Dated Brent is what refineries are actually paying today for real barrels.
When futures say $110 and physical crude says $141, it means the people who actually touch the oil are paying way more than Wall Street thinks.
That $31 gap is the market screaming that the crisis is worse than traders are pricing in.
Oil execs warned about this exact disconnect last week at CERAWeek. But of course, nobody listened.
Physical crude hasn't been this expensive since 2008.
Either the real market calms down or futures catch up.
With Hormuz still closed, you can guess which one happens first.
