Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 tem um mundo aberto perfeito: ✅Tamanho necessário para não se tornar enjoativo ✅Missões secundárias interessantes e que dão maior profundidade à trama ✅Personagens carismáticos e com bom desenvolvimento Joguei mais de 160 horas e em nenhum momento me senti entediado ou com vontade de que o jogo terminasse depressa.

The jury is out on Crimson Desert. Turns out I was right. I know, I know... you guys hate when that happens. The consensus so far: • Exploration is the main draw • The game tries to do way too much • Feels like a single-player MMO • Story is trash • Mechanics are convoluted • Takes 8+ hours to even hook you So yeah, this is a very specific niche game. The kind some people will absolutely love… and most will play, think “yeah, that was alright,” and never touch again. And that’s fine. Not every game needs to be perfect to be enjoyable. And not everyone has to like the same things you do.

After this whole debate about DLSS 5 I came to the conclusion that most of the people talking about it are completely unaware of what they don't know...they're on the peak of ignorance and don't even grasp how little they understand. They just heard generative AI and like Pavlov's dog they just start drooling thinking it's the same shit as unethical slop image generators...for the love of Christ...go and educate yourself before raging on the internet for no reason. DLLS 5 is not a prompt based generator...it's not creating stuff based on someone else's images and hallucinates results. It uses the information from the raster to build up a final render frame with the same information but with better lighting and shading... I'll even give you an example on how much of an impact better shading and lighting has. This is a character I've worked on not long ago. On the left you have a raster render, with some bad shaders. On the right you have a render with raytrace on, a much better shader for both hair and skin. They don't even look like the same person...do they? This is what DLSS5 is doing....getting a result like the one on the right(tbh a lot better) at a smaller cost than actually rendering it. Still the same geo, same textures, same light sources. Some of you will go and say the one on the left is better and it's the artist's vision. It's not...it's just the artist's limitation due to shading and lighting constrains. Every single artist out there would love to get the right result in real time.

DLSS 5 might be the moment where the anti AI pendulum starts swinging back. Many in the 3D community who were against generative AI are now pushing back on the "everything is AI slop" crowd. The pendulum swung too far and they can feel it. Nice to see the rebalancing.

I'm still really hesitant to trust Digital Foundry going forward because of their initial coverage of DLSS 5, the blind praise was just really bad in my eyes. An apology is one thing but I can't help but feel like my view of Digital Foundry has been tainted long term.

@Dddg53973400 @madfox58 @TRIPSTER0 Hellblade 2 did not use Generative AI for final production art, which is what everyone is talking about. The player character / costum were made by hand, photoscanned and touched up by hand by 3d artists, and the game makes heavy use photogrammetry.

the way I see it it's ok if you don't have time for a donut tutorial or if your art teacher traumatised you and you need a bit of motivation 😌 If used right, this tech can be great for newcomers and handy for professionals. Building walls around it won't put it back in the box.

@enigmoron @SH0OLA @NikTek Transformer models trained on different datasets will produce different results, that is fundamentally how it works, AMD and NVIDIA results will never be the same, while path tracing is deterministic and well documented algorithm any one can implement. Read the OP again.

I imagine developers will have quite a difficult time implementing "neural rendering" if it becomes the norm. Take for example this; DLSS 5 currently uses gen-AI at a geometry level which yields these results as shown in the picture. When AMD comes up with their own "neural rendering" solution (they're already working on it) for PC and consoles too, the generative AI won't look the same as the one from Nvidia. Each developer will have to work with a different set of upscales that will have different result, as such no game will look the same, especially small facial features. Grace in this case here, will look totally different depending on where you're playing the game at; next-gen Xbox, PS6, AMD GPU, Intel GPU or Nvidia GPU.

@NikTek path tracing already does that, perceptually they look like totally different models and even his hair and skin colour are changing, hair colour changing being something ppl are having meltdowns over seeing it happen to grace in dlss5
