@vpavlin @techbharat jajajajajaaj 👩‍🏭💛 if we go into hardware, we'll have fun building something via @Keycard_ as miroyato has already hacked something!

Hardware wallets didn’t fail crypto users. Hidden trust assumptions did. Closed firmware. Opaque design. Blind signing flows. Security isn’t a device. It’s a model. Upgrade yours. keycard.tech/en

The biggest hesitation before buying a new hardware wallet: “What if I do something wrong?” That’s why we built simple migration guides, clear UX and modular security. Self-custody shouldn’t feel like a gamble. get.keycard.tech/pages/keycard-…

Live demo: encrypted notes running inside @Logos_network App, unlocked by @Keycard_. It shows what hardware means for the ecosystem. Any app can be unlocked by a card. Keys never leave the chip. Pull it out and session ends. No passwords, no keys on the disk. Pure hardware joy.

@Logos_network Implemented @Keycard_ support by wrapping status-keycard-go as a C shared library and wiring it into our @Logos_network App plugin - hardware-derived AES-256-GCM encryption for notes is ready. Long exhale. Live demo coming soon. 1.0.0 is here github.com/xAlisher/logos…

Exploring alternatives to Ledger? Before you switch wallets, understand the trust model behind them. In this article we break down Keycard Shell vs Ledger across what actually matters for long-term self-custody: → open architecture → verifiability → real ownership of your keys → long-term security assumptions It´s time to earn what a truly trusted hardware wallet means 👇 keycard.tech/en/blog/keycar…

Hot take: if your "cold storage" device depends on a vendor's app store staying interested in your coin, it was never cold storage. We built Keycard Shell differently. No app store. No expiry date. Immutable secure element so that no one, including us can change what runs on your device.

Recently i learned that @Ledger removed (yep, completely working) apps from its store for "inactivity". this includes @ironfishcrypto and @HNS. The company is so stupid that dont get that their hardware have been used for RELIABLE long term storage. In addition to the recent problems with ugrades 2.6.1 I think its the last drop in credibility and trust of their products. However the deeper question arrise - how to design a better system without so annoying upgrades. In that sense i think @urbit and @nockchain appoarch are the most advances frozen (in the core) systems out there which are far superior to EVERYTHING that exist now. Thinking deeper on how we can improve on the ideas of behind tree based, stable combinatorial system i invented nox: cyber.page/cyber-nox/ its really good itteration on nock, however with cryptography, confluence (and something else) baked in. The spec is kinda frozen - because its really obvious. Nox is the compute kernel of superintelligence. In the comming months i will slowly unrevel details of its beauty.

A new world is not kindled by technology alone. To rebuild civil society, we need people who choose purpose and integrity over greed. Parallel Society was an experiment in exactly that: turning shared conviction into something real.

For features, the best place is keycard.tech/en/help/ We will put up a very complete feature list soon though For Bitcoin only software, it seems to us that this is a ideological need rather than a flash memory one tbh :) It would be very easy to do a bitcoin only version, but we would also need to bulid it with every release. As per advanced features for bitcoin users, we would mention: - duress pin support - SLIP-39 support - seedQR import onto smartcard - passphrase support - multisig support The most important thing is that keys will never leave the card, t's the fundamental difference with seedsigner+smart card, and why we can't scan a seedQR code and sign with it without using a smartcard. Also we're integrating seed keeper as a back up see here: x.com/satochip/statu…

Hey, nice project you got guys, fine piece of hardware for a reasonable price. You don't propose a bitcoin only firmware but you mentionned in your FAQ that it's trivialy doable for a dev to remove the eth parts himself if he wants to. That would be great to propose 2 distinct versions for non tech people IMO, with "advanced" bitcoin features dedicated. Speaking of "advanced featured" , where can we learn a bit more ? Like does it supports BIP85, duress pins, can it work without a smartcard but with seedQR instead "a la" seedsigner etc...

Disassembled the @Keycard_ Shell to take a photo for the new @Logos_network zine to highlight how simple, minimalist, and thoughtful its design is. Reassembled it afterward and it works like a charm. By the way, I forgot to include one small detail in the photo. Can you spot what’s missing? P.S. Tinker responsibly. 🛠️

This is really cool 👌 While hardware wallets are not the right format for everyone... big fan of this approach!

Finally another winner in the land of hardware wallets! Unboxing, first look at @Keycard_ Shell & quick compare with some others like it. - Fully open source (software & hardware, MIT) - Good build quality (better than @COLDCARDwallet Q) - Clear screen - Can work without a battery - Great & simple initial setup of PIN code, key generation & saving to a Keycard - Full visibility of seed phrase - No vendor specific app needed, widely compatible, connects smoothly with @bluewalletio and @nunchuk_io - Cheap! You can have a Keycard Shell which comes with 2 Keycards for €109 currently - extra cards only cost €25 - Airgapped: camera to scan transaction QR codes & clear signing on the screen - Verifying via a web interface (which is inherintly insecure) feels weird but it's better than nothing. It does run only signed firmware. - Immutable cards, the software on the cards is permanently locked. - The version you order from Keycard will come with anti-tamper seal (fwiw) - Works with seedQR! Instantly scans it and then you're able to load a seedQR onto a keycard, glorious! Just select "Scan QR" in the "add key pair" screen during setup. I will definitely be offering this in the Bitsaga webshop but for now you should just get these directly from Keycard & purely support them. I'm genuinely happy to see the card innovation finally done well. This is a WINNER. Infinitely better than @Tangem which is a completely closed ecosystem with blind signing. The setup process is also significantly smoother than @era_wallet. With ERA wallet you still have to install the firmware yourself which is a huge hassle (how can it not be, over NFC wtf). Keycard does come preloaded with firmware (which you can verify through a web UI) and that makes this super beginner-friendly. Keycard new smartcard form factor is still way ahead. Great work Keycard, this is what we need: innovation but OPEN, without any vendor lock in. I love the fact that I don't have to even consider downloading their Status wallet which seems like a shitcoincompatible thing. Doesn't start up without a card though, which can be confusing initially. This is going to be a top contender for wallet of the year in 2026 IMO. It makes multi-sig so much easier! Might not be for everyone though. If you need help upgrading your security and determine which tools are exactly right for you have a look at my Signature Service where I guide you through a personalised custom security upgrade to future-proof your holdings with ease and inheritance in mind, DM when interested. Disclaimer: this beta device was provided to me by Keycard for review.

Most hardware wallet marketing talks about features. The real question is simpler: Who can verify the firmware? Closed firmware = hidden attack surface. Open firmware = community audit. Less trust required → stronger security. That’s the principle behind Keycard from day one. 🔐
