Good to see the answer from Ornstein, much more in line with everything I’ve heard. Plenty of checks and inquiries to representatives have gone in on coaches. Quite a few resulting in being struck from the list. But there remains some coaches with eyes on them, and the performances and results over the next few weeks could change the landscape. Each game good or bad is a part of Carricks case for the job vs alternatives.

@__scottsaunders Carrick should have never been in the conversation for the permanent role. The consensus when he was appointed was that it was only until the end of the season. Fickle fans have fallen for the same thing as they did with Ole.

Wanted Amorim out but want Iraola in? Here's a thought. Semenyo said about Iraola's demands: "Run. Just run. Run yourself into the ground. I give props to everyone because it’s not easy to do, but we do it week in, week out." Man Utd just got outrun by Leeds and aren't exactly front-foot under Carrick now. Amorim spoke about INTENSITY all the time but people only focused on the system and wanted him out. I'm not saying Iraola won't work.
