Story Time: A Full-Circle Moment: On Friday, our summer camp youth visited Big Dog Ranch Rescue and learned about their efforts to rescue abandoned and injured dogs. Just days later, a stray injured dog appeared on the Lake Shore Middle School campus, where our camp is held. With the help of Mindy, the principal secretary at Lake Shore Middle School, the kids sprang into action to ensure the dog's safety. Deputy Torrence (Coach T) called Big Dog Ranch. While waiting for them to arrive, we provided food, water, and a safe space for the dog. This story illustrates the transformative power of kindness, compassion, and the bond between humans and animals.
