Lovely LSWR crest on the facade, a VR postbox and an old red phone box, all adding to the character. And a set of Pooley scales on display in the Booking Office.

Great to visit the Grade II Listed Wareham Station in Dorset with @SW_Help with a view to help restore some original Victorian features for a new retail opportunity. It’s a beautiful building, but does need a new tenant, so interested parties should contact Amey.

We will have our membership stand at Expo EM in May. Note: the new venue in Bracknell.

#OnThisDay 184 years ago the LSWR opened a branch from Eastleigh (then Bishopstoke) to Gosport via Botley and Fareham, a ferry connecting to Portsmouth. Fareham to Gosport closed to passengers in 1953, but William Tite's building survives: Michael Coppins buff.ly/8hX7ixF
