@ZekeDaFreak21 @nbarealist23 You keep creating ridiculous strawmen. At some point, you’ll realize it isn’t slandering Nash to say that one of the elite winners of the last decade. Nash had plenty of help. He simply didn’t get it done. Brunson did - and he’s not finished. Brunson > Nash

@LeanerGreen @nbarealist23 U said “U don’t seem to understand competition.” But u leave out a whole bunch of info Nash played Kobe, Gasol, Dirk, Manu, Parker, & Duncan in the 3 WCFs he played in Is that competition? Can u say for sure JB played guys on that level? Nash was not some losing stat padder

I need to think about this one. This is pushing ring culture to its limits. Brunson has 1 Alpha Ring, 1 FMVP, 0 MVPs, 3 All-NBA, 3 All-Star. His resume is similar to Chauncey Billups. Every other guy on this list, other than Sam Jones, has at least 6 All-NBA selections and 6 All-Star selections. Nash and Harden also have MVPs to their name. So, how much is one alpha-dog ring worth?

@the_dough_boy23 @iamthebyson @ArtTakesNote You are, like most UTA fans, ignoring the human element. No one is ever doing what Brunson did to stay in Utah. And no agent will ever trust Danny in a negotiation. WK wants out - and he probably isn’t the only one.

@LeanerGreen @iamthebyson @ArtTakesNote No his camp is over inflating his value and is made the Jazz aren’t giving in. If the market thinks he’s worth $30 million per year, he’ll get that. If the market is what the Jazz offered, that’s his market. With salary cap aprons now, teams are more judicious with their money.

Walker Kessler’s camp was not thrilled that he didn’t end up getting sent to the Indiana Pacers at the trade deadline for a package very similar to what the Los Angeles Clippers got for Ivica Zubac per Tim MacMahon via the Hoop Collective Podcast.

@CJRealHoops2 You’re making a good argument- from 2016. The pendulum has swung. Jokic, KAT, Wemby, Embiid**, couple more in the pipeline. Bigs are back. Kessler’s team knows this.

Centers in the NBA are like running backs in the NFL. While an important part of a winning team, it’s hard to field a winning team when a substantial portion of payroll is committed to the position long term. With the exception of the top 2 or 3 in the league, the gap between a good one and a serviceable one is actually quite small. I love Kessler. But if this is true, his agency is filling his mind with Dennis Schroder levels of delusion.
NBACentral@TheDunkCentral

Walker Kessler has reportedly rejected a five-year, nearly $140 million offer from the Jazz, and his camp is seeking significantly more 😳, per @BannedMacMahon (h/t @davidjsmith1232 )

@werebearut @CJRealHoops2 “We see it” “But ______ is actually happy here.” Someone needs to do a mashup of this magical thinking starting with Gordon’s era. Walker either wants to be overpaid to stay, or he wants to be gone. Either way, that’s not someone who is happy there.

@LeanerGreen @CJRealHoops2 $28M is well above underpaid. We see it, believe me. That's part of what the OP is talking about. Though it's not to the extent you're making it out to be. But Walker likes it in Utah. Just wants to be treated by management as a core piece instead of a role player.

Walker Kessler crashing his public image + perception with the Utah Jazz fanbase in the space of 48 hours was not something I expected to see the week before draft day. If he does come back, he's going to have to be very good to get back in the good graces

@LeanerGreen @nbarealist23 Ur just ignoring the team aspect Also Nash had some deep runs. He reached the WCF finals 3 times with Phoenix, calling him mediocre like he never past the first round or something is disingenuous If he had even just a lil more help, he might’ve reached a finals Learn ball

@iamthebyson @ArtTakesNote Which begs the question: Why?? The clear and simple answer is that he wants out. His camp isn’t overplaying their hand. They’re signaling to the market: “come get me!”

@LeanerGreen @ArtTakesNote If there’s a market for him that’s more lucrative than what he’s already been offered by Utah, then he should have no issue getting out. I don’t think there’s a big lineup of teams anxious to pay Walker $30m+. His camp is overplaying their hand imo.

🚨 Senegal captain Kalidou Koulibaly speaking facts: "Africans can’t have their people" at the World Cup because of US travel bans. Every other team gets their fans. But Global South teams like Senegal get blocked while the West lectures everyone about "inclusion" and "human rights". This is the same empire that bombs, exploits, and restricts — then cries when others resist. Football should unite people, not separate them with racist visa policies and double standards. Stand with Koulibaly. Stand with the fans. Stand with the Global South. No bows. Just raw truth. 💪🏿🇸🇳

@ZekeDaFreak21 @nbarealist23 You struggle with reading comprehension and pattern recognition. JB has a 10 year pattern of winning and elite play. Nash’s career was just great stats and mediocre results. Winning and leading are part of greatness - not just stats. Nash is wanting in both categories.

@EricSal_7 This is ridiculous. This isn’t 90s college basketball. A $50M/yr player isn’t coming off the bench. Fox will likely be traded.

Spurs are going to win 60+ games again next year and have a better/deeper roster going into the playoffs. If they can avoid the injury bug, they could easily find their way to the Finals again. That will be with Fox just like it was this past year. Even if his role is lessened marginally, he will still be a part of a winning equation. I expect Fox to put in a lot of work this summer and come back even better than he’s been the past 2 years. There is no way a player with his success doesn’t use this as fuel. If Spurs decide he comes off the bench, I expect him to still be a very important piece — playing 25-28 mpg and be in every 6th man conversation. If Fox starts again, I expect the same from Dylan except maybe 30-32 mpg off the bench. Starting the 3 guards is not the answer for so many reasons. That won’t be it. Regardless. Spurs are not impatient. Spurs are not stupid. They are not about to attach picks to trade a guy. They wont trade a player whose value is at the lowest it will ever be. Especially a player who was an important piece to get to 60+ wins. He will be here and Spurs will win a lot of games which will silence trade talks — Spurs won’t make a huge trade in the middle of the season if they are winning a lot of games. If Harper does start and propels imto All-Star territory alongside Castle, and Fox shifts to a bench role, the Spurs will be in a much stronger position to trade him next summer — if it becomes known by season’s end that Rich/Fox wants a bigger role elsewhere. His value will be up and other teams will look at his remaining 3 years on his contract as if they have a team option after the 27/28 season due to the expansion draft out. His contract won’t be an issue because of this. Now if Fox buys into the lessened role, a trade may not even be needed in the summer of 27. Time will tell, but right now as we head into this offseason Fox is still valued and he’s still a part of this winning equation. We should all be rooting for him this summer to come back a better/smarter player in every phase on and off ball.

Samuel L. Jackson has long said his favorite movie he’s starred in is the 1996 action-thriller 'The Long Kiss Goodnight.' Turns out his co-star Geena Davis feels likewise. “It’s my favorite too,” Davis tells Deadline. “I’m supposed to say Thelma & Louise because that movie is irreplaceable, but I have to say, I had so much fun with Sam and we’ve always wished that we could do a sequel” More details here: deadline.com/2026/06/geena-…

🚨 Justin Hunte criticizes Jay-Z’s partnership with Target Hunte argues that Jay-Z has repeatedly aligned himself with major Black social causes, only to later do business with institutions many activists were criticizing. Referencing past controversies involving Occupy Wall Street, Colin Kaepernick and the NFL, Hunte says the Target partnership is causing some people to question where Jay-Z ultimately draws the line between activism and business. “He positions himself as a beacon of success for the Black community.”

@jakemmccleary Huge egos…lol. There are 30 NBA markets. Many NBA players would rank UTA 30th in their personal preference of where to live and work. Kessler knows there a chance he could wind up in LA or ATL or CHI. Not a hard choice all things being equal.

Despite spending time in Belgium and later France under quarantine and medical screening measures to ensure they had not contracted Ebola, not a single DR Congo supporter traveling from Kinshasa was granted a U.S. visa for the World Cup. Among them was Michel Nkuka Mboladinga, better known as “Lumumba,” an iconic Leopards supporter who became one of the most recognizable faces of AFCON 2025. Since the start of this tournament, we have been witnessing clear bias against African countries embedded in visa and immigration systems.
