🚨NYC Courts Are Politically Captured🚨 In NYC the judicial branch (Mayoral appointed Judges) have become an extension of the executive branch (The Mayor). Let’s take NYC Justice Guy Mitchell who recently sentenced NYPD Sergeant Erik Duran to 3-9 years in prison, for attempting to apprehend a fleeing felon on a moped who fell and died, “as a deterrent for other officers”. Although I am not sure what he meant by a deterrent, one thing I am sure of is he sent a clear message to NYPD cops that they alone assume all the liability of engaging in police work and to refrain from attempting to apprehend fleeing perpetrators or expect 3-9 years in prison. Judge Mitchell was appointed by the Anti-NYPD @BilldeBlasio in 2015 and then reappointed in 2022 by the Albanian, crypto coin salesman who helped bill paint “Black Lives Matter” in front of Trump Tower @ericadamsfornyc. Who do you think Judge Mitchell is more loyal to, the law or the politicians who decide if he continues to collect a check and wield immense power? Do you think @NYCMayor Zohran Mamdani’s bench appointments will be any less loyal to him and show less bias towards NYPD officers? Do you think the appointments would be any different if NY’s most radical and disgraced governor @andrewcuomo won the election? We don’t need to guess look at the anti police bias his parole board appointees, that released over 45 cop killers had. We want different results but keep electing or attempting to elect the same idiots who showed you who they were in 2020. As long as one party government rule remains across NYS and NYC the courts are not a place you can go to seek fair and impartial interpretations of the law. Elections Matter, maybe one day the @GOP, @NewYorkCountyCP or another party will actually try to actually win elections in NYS & NYC. We keep being outraged, but election after election we keep doing the same things and expect different results. While this isn’t an indictment of every judge it is of the entire system as a whole, it’s broken and the only way to fix it, is at the ballot box.
