Brahmins (almost) never got MLA seats in both the parties because they could never do the intense field word needed to be an MLA candidate in the dravidian parties. Vijay has given seats and made them won because no one cared who the candidate was and they never had to do any work too just like their WFH leader.

Disclosure: I'm a Brahmin and not posting this tweet based on my caste bias. DMK is more close to Periyar's ideology. So they highlight atheism, not giving prominence to religion and so on. ADMK, despite being a dravidian party, the founder MGR was a very religious person. His successor Jayalalitha was not only religious but also followed many rituals too. Edapaddi Palaniswami is also a religious person. Except one single occasion which was an aberration, as a policy Brahmins were never given MLA seats or part of any ministry during the last 6 decades. This is because the dravidian movement basically started as an anti brahmin movement. Vijay has given two seats for Brahmins and both have won. Media reports that one of them may be made minister tomorrow. Though many might have missed it, this is something which is happening in Tamil Nadu after six decades. Brahmins were never part of any ministry. Many Brahmins I know voted for Vijay. Former Chief Minister Jayalalitha was a brahmin. May be her influence would have also tilted MGR towards religion. Trisha Krishnan is also a brahmin. May be her influence is shaping Vijay's religious approach. I was wondering whether to post this. Since it was part of my current political analysis, thought why not I post this.

A friend of mine decided to treat herself to dinner at a five-star hotel. She thought, “Let’s enjoy a little luxury today.” ✨ She ordered mutton kadai for ₹1500 and naan for ₹20 each. The mutton kadai was actually delicious rich flavor, amazing aroma, perfectly cooked. For a moment, she felt the dinner was worth it. But then the naan arrived… 😐 It was hard, rubbery, and difficult to chew almost like leather. Still, she didn’t want to waste such an expensive meal, so she somehow finished eating. Then came the bill… ₹5000! So much money spent, yet the experience wasn’t satisfying at all. And the worst part started after she got home… Suddenly, she had severe stomach pain 😣 Then nonstop vomiting 🤢 Imagine paying so much for a “luxury dinner” and ending up sick instead of happy.

Famous Pakistani Bharatnatyam dancer Sheema Kirmani arrested by Sindh Police. A Hindu classical art form is celebrated across the world, but in Pakistan even artists associated with it face harassment and intimidation. This is the reality of how Hindus and Indic culture are treated in Pakistan.

A dog lover woman brutally slapped an innocent security guard just because he removed stray dogs from the society. Women have become so entitled in this country. I am sure she won't get arrested.

I am in my small car. I give left indicator and am turning left into the side road. There is a 2 wheeler on my left side. He has already seen my indicator and has also noticed that I have slowed down and am turning. Yet, he cuts straight across. He wants to go straight. Majority of times in these scenarios, the 2 wheelers come in the blind spot of the car driver. We can't see the 2 wheeler. How can the 2 wheeler assume that I know that he wants to go straight? What goes in the mind of the 2 wheeler? Not always the 4 wheeler driver is at fault. So many times, 2 wheeler guys are at fault and drive rashly. #Safedriving

How is this not misuse of government power? A traffic cop fined a man ₹500 for not wearing a seat belt. Fair enough — rules are rules. But just a few moments later, the same officer was seen riding without a helmet. The car owner noticed this, followed him, recorded a video, clicked photos, and exposed the hypocrisy online. This incident is reportedly from Madhya Pradesh. The law should be equal for everyone — whether it’s a common citizen or a traffic police officer. Now the real question is: Will action also be taken against the officer for breaking traffic rules? What’s your opinion on this...?

We have fought an extremely difficult election where nearly 30 lakh genuine voters were allegedly disenfranchised from the electoral rolls. Throughout this entire process, we witnessed what we believe was deeply partisan conduct by several government agencies as well as the Election Commission of India. Democratic institutions that are meant to function impartially appeared compromised, raising serious concerns about the fairness, credibility and transparency of the electoral process in West Bengal. From the counting process to allegations surrounding the handling and movement of EVMs, Mismatch of Control Units, several disturbing incidents have left millions of people questioning whether the true mandate of the people has been respected. I have already demanded the release of CCTV FOOTAGE FROM THE COUNTING CENTRES and a transparent counting of VVPAT slips so that the truth can come before the people and every doubt can be addressed openly and honestly. Democracy can only survive when electoral institutions inspire trust and confidence among citizens. Unfortunately, what we have witnessed has deeply shaken that trust. At the same time, reports of post-poll violence, attacks on party offices, intimidation of our party workers and threats against supporters are deeply alarming and unacceptable in a democratic society. Many dedicated Trinamool workers and supporters who fought tirelessly on the ground have allegedly faced targeted attacks and have been forced to flee their homes out of fear and insecurity. No political worker in a democracy should ever have to choose between their safety and their political beliefs. Keeping the democratic traditions of this great nation above everything else, my colleagues and I in the Trinamool Congress will continue to stand firmly with the people of West Bengal and with every Trinamool worker who fought tooth and nail against what we believe was a compromised electoral machinery. We will continue to be a strong, vocal and uncompromising opposition both in Delhi and WB. Under the guidance and leadership of Mamata Banerjee, our fight for democracy, constitutional values and the rights and dignity of the people will continue without fear and without compromise. I urge every Trinamool supporter and worker to stay strong and united during this difficult time. If anyone has been subjected to post-poll violence, intimidation, or threats, I request them to reach out and share their details with me or DM me. I will do everything within my capacity to ensure their safety and security and pursue every available legal and democratic remedy. I will stand shoulder to shoulder with every Trinamool worker and supporter in this fight to ensure that truth prevails and that both governments now work genuinely in the interests of the people of West Bengal. Jai Bangla! Jai Hind! 🇮🇳

🚨 Tamil Nadu just exposed BJP’s playbook for destroying democracy. TVK won 108 seats. 35% vote share. 1.7 crore votes. The single largest party in a 234-seat house by a massive margin. The people spoke with absolute clarity. BJP got 1 MLA from Tamil Nadu. They lost the mandate comprehensively. But through a centrally-appointed Governor with an RSS background, they are attempting to hold the state’s democratic transition hostage. Governor Arlekar refused to invite Vijay for oath. Demanded he “prove majority at Raj Bhavan” - a condition that exists nowhere in the Constitution. Article 164 says the Governor shall appoint the CM who commands confidence. Not “after proving it to me in private.” The Supreme Court in Rameshwar Prasad v. Union of India (2006) was crystal clear; Governors cannot act as agents of the Centre to destabilize or delay popularly elected governments. This isn’t grey area. This is settled law. Remember Karnataka 2018? Yeddyurappa (BJP) had 105 seats; fewer than Vijay today. The BJP-appointed Governor invited him immediately. No conditions. No “prove your numbers first.” Maharashtra 2019? Fadnavis was sworn in at 5:30 AM without a majority. The country woke up to a fait accompli. No Governor demanded signatures upfront then. Rules change when BJP is the beneficiary. This is the same party that used Governors in Goa, Manipur, and Meghalaya to bypass the single largest party and hand power to BJP-friendly coalitions. Tamil Nadu is just the latest chapter. This is not about Vijay. This is not about TVK. This is about whether the people’s mandate means anything in Narendra Modi’s India, or whether a Delhi-appointed Governor can simply override 1.7 crore voters. The Constitution is not BJP’s property. Federalism is not their gift to give or take. Tamil Nadu’s voters deserve better. And every Indian watching this should be afraid, because today it’s Tamil Nadu, tomorrow it could be your state. 🇮🇳
