American religion changed dramatically in its first 75 years. Episcopalians and Congregationalists largely disappeared. Catholics rose by 7x. Methodists went from being a rounding error to the largest Christian group.

the real problem with modern conservatives trying to emulate WASPs is everything about WASP culture goes against modern conservatism, because WASP culture creates libs

Grad school...mmmmmm am I suicidal?

Does such a church exist in Christendom: -Traditional Hymns, choirs with robes, organists, and NO electric guitars. -National (but generally decentralized) Organization. -Not aligned with political “charity” efforts to import the 3rd world and teach them how to rob the welfare state. -Wooden pews, lobby doesn’t look like a dentist office. -Male clergy. -Enforces a dress code (no shorts, flip flops, ball caps, etc). -Bans incompatible ideologues from staff/clergy (Marxism, Sciencism, Universalism, Racism, Socialism, or “Rainbow flag cabals”, etc). -Rejects wackadoodle strains such as Dispensationalism.

Tried to go to Easter mass but they ran out of seats and standing room Next best thing: soho house brunch with a jazz quartet The libs have lost. Being WASPy is cool again

Been reading a lot of old books satirizing traditional WASP culture and I would love for someone smart to explain to me why Catholicism became the aspirational right wing trad country club aesthetic instead of Protestantism…? 🤔
