@CTMT03K64 You're making a legal and popularity argument against a moral argument. Regardless of how one views this topic, say loli isn't cp because its popular or legal is an flawed argument. You know what can depending on the society be popular and legal, real life cp.

@DropkickDreamer @BroJoeChiRho Sorry some adults didn't interact with the anime community before they were born. It was quite rude of them to do that when they were a fetus.

@BroJoeChiRho The problem with being unable to recognize Haruhi isn't that "you didn't watch a show lmao". A lot of people didn't, yet know of her through cultural osmosis. It's that it betrays that you had zero interaction with the medium and discourse around it in the last 20 fucking years.

@BroJoeChiRho The issue is at time is a thing at exist. The further we get from 2003, the fewer people will understandably know about her. Acting like she will forever be a pillar of current anime culture will one day have you be an old man yelling at the clouds.

@MitoRequiem @rat_puncher_yes @fetwtconfession The gameplay is basically completely the same minus XCOM not having supports. Both are turn based tile strategy games based on improving your units and their available resources. They both test the exact same skills of managing short and long term risk.

What makes this a bad metaphor is that a cheeta can only hold top speed for a very short burst and then they have to stop or overheat A horse can run at a fast pace for a lot longer So it's very likely that a horse would still win

Let me break down what’s going on here. He’s a deeply repressed homosexual (note the open-mouth smile) and entered the marriage with zero heterosexual experience because the idea of sex with men terrified him (or was forbidden by religion, family, culture). Sex with his wife is therefore either mechanically dutiful or outright aversive. When she’s enthusiastic or skilled, it highlights the mismatch: she knows what good sex feels like; he doesn’t and never will in this arrangement. That gap feels like a personal failure, so he holds her (very normal) premarital sex life over her head as a moral failure. Slut-shaming her restores the hierarchy he needs to feel like the “good” one. She’s the dirty one, he’s the pure, long-suffering husband who’s “sacrificing” for the marriage. It also conveniently excuses why he’s often disinterested or performs poorly in bed. It’s her fault. “She’s too used up” instead of “I’m gay.”
Trevor Sheatz@TrevorSheatz

My wife was formerly promiscuous. I was a virgin. She was then radically born-again. Committed to church, evangelized constantly, Puritan books in her bedroom, prayer journals, grief over past sexual sin, etc. We got to know each other well for over a year, dated for four months, engaged for two and a half, and didn't sin sexually with one another. Our first kiss with each other was at the altar on our wedding day (reaction pic attached!). We've been married for over five years now, and she's been the most wonderful and godly wife, mother to our three children, and homemaker you could imagine. She's more pure than most virgins, as biblical purity has less to with past sins (though they certainly matter) and more to do with one's current posture of the heart and daily decisions to honor the Lord (Matt. 5:8). We're far too quick to forget the story of the woman labeled as a known "sinner" (likely a prostitute) in Luke 7:36-50 who was washing Jesus' feet with her tears while kissing them too. The Pharisees were shocked that Jesus let a public sinner do this. Jesus responded with a parable about debts being forgiven and ended with this powerful conclusion: "Her many sins have been forgiven; that’s why she loved much. But the one who is forgiven little, loves little" (Luke 7:47). Everyone seems to highlight the benefits of virginity, and it certainly is a blessing. But we forget to highlight the benefits of being forgiven much as well. My wife knows the depths of Jesus' forgiveness more than most people, enabling her to more easily live out a life of passionate love for her Savior. A woman or man's past sexual sin matters. But what matters far more when it comes to deciding who to marry is if the person is truly born again, if their repentance is real, if they truly have a heart for Christ, if they truly follow Jesus and obey his commands. "God has chosen what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen what is weak in the world to shame the strong. God has chosen what is insignificant and despised in the world — what is viewed as nothing — to bring to nothing what is viewed as something, so that no one may boast in his presence. It is from him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became wisdom from God for us — our righteousness, sanctification, and redemption, — in order that, as it is written: 'Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.'" (1 Cor. 1:27-31) "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come!" (2 Cor. 5:17)

@jetjaguar2236 @huff_ee A video I watched about Pokémon made a point about levels. Leveling up at least in the sense of grinding is there to act as a release valve for difficulty. Sure the better you are at the game the less you need levels to brute force, but not everyone is good at the game

@huff_ee I somewhat agree, we should be asking ourselves whether levels are even needed sometimes, instead of just blindly accepting it as an indispensible part of the RPG experience.

@Sebbywebz Given what you mentioned about original target demographic outgrowing original design. What is to say at instead it's just simply you have outgrown Final Fantasy? Would you also say pokemon needs to start being dark and mature?

I’m in no position to chip in. But it’s Twitter, so here’s my suggestion: 1) Don’t reinvent the wheel every game -Final Fantasy nailed its combat with FFX. Use that as the foundation. Innovate around that -There’s a reason Persona, Lost Odyssey and Expedition 33 all use that model 2) Don’t make an 80 hour game that’s a chore to finish. Make a 40 hour game that people can’t wait to replay -No one wants to recommend a game that doesn’t respect the player’s time 3) Target the OG Final Fantasy fans -They are in their 30s/40s. That’s the maturity level these stories should aim for -They have the money to buy these games. But they also have limited time. They aren’t going to waste it on Disney boyband cringe 4) You don’t need to cater to new FF fans -All you have to do is call the game “Final Fantasy”. If you do that, they will buy it Final Fantasy used to be games for young people who wanted to grow up Now they feel like games made for adults who want to be kids We grew up, but the games didn’t. Maybe it’s time the games grew up, too
Genki✨@Genki_JPN

Yoshi-P says it has become harder for younger people to engage with the Final Fantasy series because the release intervals for new titles have gotten longer! "I'm 53 now, and I've been playing since Final Fantasy 1 in real time. But for younger generations – people who grew up naturally accustomed to action-based combat and online competitive play – the recent entries in the series may have been harder to engage with. Part of that is simply because I'm sorry to say... the release intervals for new titles have gotten longer, so some players haven't really had the chance to connect with the series the way older fans did." gamesradar.com/games/final-fa…

"Animals are gay sometimes too" Okay? Animals also have sex in front of anyone and everyone, doesn't mean that should be normal for humans too I'm not trying to be homophobic, I'm gay myself, I just think it's stupid to compare us to animals 😭
