NOBODY has been banned from participating in the Olympics. Men, who by definition are not women, are simply not allowed to participate in women’s events. Those men remain more than welcome to continue to participate in men’s events. It really is that simple.

Most women who changed their name at marriage don’t have that. And getting it costs money you shouldn’t have to spend just to cast a ballot.    Republicans aren’t targeting noncitizens. They’re targeting you.

There’s more to the Joe Kent story than meets the eye. According to friends, apparently, Joe leaked intelligence under the nose of the Secretary of War. As a result, his access to classified information was removed several weeks ago. He’s not stepping down due to his allegiance to integrity, he’s being forced to leave.

This is insanely stupid. There is a cottage industry on the right that has built an entire brand around telling conservatives the system is rigged, voting is pointless, both parties are the same and not to vote. Just to give up, and that voting doesn't matter. Here's what you need to understand about anyone telling you not to vote: they are either useful idiots for the Democratic Party or they are deliberately acting as useful idiots for the Democratic Party. Either way the result is the same. Democrats win when Republicans stay home. Full stop. Not voting is not a protest. It is a concession. Anyone telling you otherwise is not your friend. Kids aren’t being allowed to have snack at school because it might offend someone who is fasting for ramadan. Survivors of torture aren’t being allowed to fulfill their public speaking engagements because their story might offend a Muslim. Family pets’ mere existence are being threat because they offend a Muslim. I don’t pretend to know many Muslims, but the ones that I do know have been here for a long time and would NEVER do any of these things. They are lovely. Call them extremists or Islamists. I don’t know or care what the label is. The outcome needs to be the same. We need to say no. Our kids don’t understand how dangerous this trend is and may not even tell us when things like this happen because they don’t know any different. We need to be the adults in the room and say NO.
