Performative statements mean nothing. UK public deserve to know that not a single UK-based Somalian organisation protested the Prime Minister of Somalia publicly saying: "Jews are descendants of monkeys and pigs", and "I support Hamas". Somalian antisemitism is systemic.

The Emiratis are very active on X and they are genuine supporters of the Somaliland cause, so there’s nothing wrong with engaging with them. Arabic-speaking Somalilanders have done an excellent job elevating Somaliland’s name in one of our strongest allies. That said, I agree that some Landers appear a bit desperate.

Public sentiment in a democracy is a major driver of politics, online venting won't resolve this historical issue, we must take accountability, while we bash the UK for it's hypocrisy.
