Shall we dig into the data a bit Willie @willnorman ? Your cherry picked graph seems to indicate a huge rise in cycling and it's almost as if you want folk to believe it's a significant modal share of transport overall but I'm sure you didn't mean to imply that 🧐
Will Norman@willnorman

As in London, new road traffic data nationally shows cycling remains significantly up on pre-pandemic levels. I think this change is here to stay. We’ll continue to invest in making streets safer to sustain & accelerate this growth for a greener, cleaner, safer future for all.

Ant, has Sadiq condemned this attack on another continent that happened six years ago yet? We need to know.
Ant Middleton@antmiddleton

.@MayorofLondon @metpoliceuk @ukhomeoffice @Keir_Starmer I expect a statement from all about this arson attack (one of many) on Christians. There could have been families and children in that church or at the very least individuals preparing for a service. This is a blatant attack on native Christians and our very own culture, on our very own lands. Christians across the nation must feel extremely unsafe & petrified that this is happening on our doorstep! Awaiting patiently for your statements for such attacks that are taking place in our Christian country! (not abroad)… 🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

99% of "how to make money online" video online is trash. Because every video makes it look like you need an audience, a brand, a camera, and two years of patience before seeing a dollar. Here's what I do instead. Oh, and if you want my full AI publishing system — niche research, AI prompts, and the exact workflow I use to publish one book a month... Like this post, follow me and comment "YES". I'll DM it to you. Every week I open Amazon and look at what people are already searching for and buying. • Money anxiety. • Sleep problems. • Career transitions. • Relationship issues. Real problems and real searches. I pick a topic. Build a 70 to 150 page book around it using AI an publish it. If it sells, I scale it with ads. If it doesn't, I move to the next idea the following week. Just asystem and a portfolio that grows every month. - ChatGPT builds the outline. - Claude writes the chapters. - Ideogram designs the cover. - Amazon distributes it to 310 million buyers. I do about 1 hour a day. One book earning $600/month is a gym membership, a phone bill, and a dinner out, paid. Six books is a mortgage payment. Twelve books is $7,000/month before a single ad runs. If you want the full system: 1. How I find topics people are already paying to read 2. The AI workflow to go from idea to published in under 30 days 3. How I test and scale what works, drop what doesn't Like this post, follow me and comment "YES". I'll DM you everything at no cost. All 3. Or the DM doesn't go out.

A Royal Caribbean cruise ship is taking its @Starlink connectivity to the limit after installing equipment capable of delivering up to 10Gbps in satellite internet. The Star of Seas, one of the largest cruise ships in the world, has been outfitted with a Starlink Community Gateway, which can deliver "10Gbps of symmetrical throughput," meaning it can supply up to 10Gbps for both downloads and uploads.

Cycling has stayed the same % in London as it was back in 2011 at 3%… With evidence showing some LTNs reduce cycling in and out of sacrificed roads and increased congestion im not suprised with this … With billions spent on cycling infrastructure yet no increase. In fact less people cycling to work and less people cycling to spend money at shops. Increase in hobby cycling only …. The cycle lobby is making people turn backs against cycling with the constant attacks in communities..

@ediz1975 Trying to imply that the LTN is responsible for Lime being launched 🤷 In @lbhf it's easier for residents to drive inside the LTNs so cycling DEF not up. And when they dump Shitlets onto the cycle lanes on the boundary roads it's obvious cycling will be down 🤦

As part of the LTN monitoring, automatic traffic counters were used (see 6.21) to count cycling levels within the LTN. The data shows no notable change on cycling on internal roads and a decrease on boundary roads, with cycling levels decreasing by 1% on internal roads and by 38% on boundary roads. LTNs reducing cycling inside LTN and boundary roads while away from LTN increased 🤣🤣🤣 You can’t make this up..

@KatyCycles @andrewellson @peterwalker99 Sat nav theory debunked years ago, please read DfT revised data on this - the fact you're still mentioning it is worrying, you are either in an echo chamber or you are disingenuous. 90% cars reside on side roads ... That's where "they belong".

I’m a Labour conference fringe on active travel - don’t tell me I don’t know how to have fun - and transport minister Simon Lightwood has praised councils for their “bravery” in pushing through LTNs etc amid the last govt’s culture wars. Those culture wars are over, he says.

What’s the dumbest question you’ve ever gotten working in I.T.? I have so many of these, but a personal favorite was the girl who asked me why when people call her desk phone it shows their name on the display and not her own.

What did an office job look like before computers or cell phones? People got to the office at 9am. There was just a desk there, and a telephone. What did they even do? I know there’s an answer to this. I don’t know what it is.

Really looking forward to sitting out on an isolated part of @BowesLTN where no services support and just a relatively bleak view. Well done @JourneysPlaces on another complete farcical project that had zero residential support and cost £0.5m👏
