@jaredmc78 @itsAntWright Thank you. These “late to the party” takes are so off base. Probably didn’t watch 3 UNC games all season!

@itsAntWright Didn’t need to take the 3 much in college as he could dominate otherwise. His 7’ tall teammate took, and made, a lot of 3’s last season. I think the finger can be pointed at Hubert Davis for a lot of things. This isn’t one of them.

Wilson is an elite talent, was #2 on my board but this is why it matters where you choose to go to school If his college coaching staff encouraged shooting freedom, think NBA draft discussions change quite a bit
Kevin O'Connor@KevinOConnor

Man that Caleb Wilson debut was extraordinary last night. Obviously it’s just summer league and he needs to sustain his shooting/creation. But this is precisely what he was working on pre-draft. And the result? Wilson looked like a generational talent.

May be a hot take... ...but what elite ball knowledge has Dick Vitale ever passed along to us common folk 🤔 Other than drooling over "diaper dandies." And he's NEVER been a fan of women's basketball, college or professional. I think he was only hired for his annoying ass voice, personally. Like "which way did he go, george," but the excited version.

@dpshow A league vying to be considered prime time. But has neither a Commissioner nor referees that are ready for prime time. Not a good dynamic!

I absolutely LOVE this response from Indiana Fever Coach, Stephanie White, on the silly letter that was sent to Congress regarding Caitlin Clark. Play silly games. Win silly prizes. As Caitlin Clark said in her last interview, “Social media is not real, and people are just making up things that are not true, and using my name for their own causes.” I am not faulting Caitlin for that idiotic letter from Congress. She never asked for it. The letter actually makes her look weak and helpless. It does not help her at all. Stephanie White never asked for it. This was a political skit, and the Head Coach of a WNBA team is under NO obligation to play a role in this skit.

@ScottPerry69 As a leader, and the face of a franchise, you have to use tact when referencing the United States government on national tv. This was a VERY strong statement……with tact.

Kevin Durant says he grew up with no bed a single mom who went to bed hungry so he could eat ‘One of the best memories I had was when we moved into our first apartment no bed no furniture and we all just sat in the living room and hugged each other cause we thought we made it’ ‘When something good happens to you I don’t know about you guys but I tend to look back to what brought me here’ ‘We weren’t suppose to be here you made us believe you kept us off the streets put clothes on our backs put food on the table when you didn’t eat you made sure we ate’

Scottie Pippen reveals he was the 122nd highest paid player in the NBA while winning 6 champions making $2,800,000 while Jordan made $33,000,000 on the same team ‘The year I won the 6th championship I was the 6th highest paid player on the team and 122nd in the entire league making $2,800,000 while Jordan took home $33,000,000’ ‘I signed a 7-year $18,000,000 deal in 1991 for financial security after I grew up in poverty as one of 12 kids father and brother both in wheelchairs’ ‘I was the most underpaid dynasty player in the NBA but I still earned more in my career of $109,000,000 than Jordan of $94,000,000 because I played longer than him but Jordan made $100,000,000 from Nile alone’

Interesting that EYBL went to Vegas at a time Vegas tourism is struggling, hotels more expensive. Chasing clout of being near NBA Summer League but does it help parents? Feel like league has more teams east than west? Maybe 5-6 west coast teams?
Erik Hoffmann@TheErikHoffmann

Las Vegas is becoming a tougher sell for budget-conscious travelers as the city shifts toward a luxury-focused model. Rising hotel rates, resort fees, upscale dining, and premium entertainment are reshaping the Strip, even as overall visitor numbers have declined and more travelers question whether Vegas still offers the value it once did. foxnews.com/travel/las-veg…

It seems you’re responding to implications and not what I actually said. You put a lot of thought into my laugh, which I guess is flattering. I’m well aware of your journalistic credentials. I interned at The Inquirer when you were a columnist. I often tell young people that you became what you became because you were one of the best NBA writers in the country. Draymond and I had a broad journalistic discussion about the relationship between players and reporters, where I used myself as an example of how doing daily television kept me at a distance from the people I was actually discussing. I didn’t mention you. I honestly wasn’t even thinking about you. That discussion wasn’t about you at all. I didn’t say I’d been in more locker rooms than you and never implied that. You swinging at ghosts, my guy. I don’t have a problem with you. If I did, I’d tell you to your face.

I haven't seen AJ in Summer League yet but from what I've seen from Daryn Peterson thus far, the Wizards might end up regretting not taking him because DP has IT. That's my one Summer League overreaction......until I see AJ later this week.

According to @BobbyMarks42, if the @nuggets simply waived Valanciunis and then signed Peyton Watson to a $25 million/year contract, they would get hit with a tax penalty of $177 million dollars. That’s the cost of the repeater tax. ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY SEVEN MILLION.

@MichaelRedd_ Good points all. But in this case she’s being replaced by a player (Sloot) even older who’s lost more than half-a-step. How does that make sense?

Love Skylar. Diggins Hall of Famer. No debate. But one of the hardest things for any hooper is getting older. Not because you wake up one day and can't play. That's (almost) never how it happens. You just lose a little. Half a step. A little burst. A little vert. Coming off the bench after being the No. 1 player your whole career? Man...that's hard. Trust me, I know. It was hard for me to admit I wasn't that guy anymore. That's part of why I retired. Every former go-to player I know has had to wrestle with that part of it. And before y'all get mad at me, go look at the advanced numbers. Go look at the film. Skylar can still hoop. I think she can help a team win for another 3 or 4 years. The other thing is...we're not in that locker room. We have no idea what the conversations between Skylar and the organization have been like, or whether she's been communicated with the right way. None of us know that. I'm just talking about the basketball side of it, and how tough this stage of a career can be. If this sounds like criticism, it isn't. It's respect. It comes from somebody who's lived it.
