It was a functionally retarded change made to combat a playstyle the devs themselves incentivised by completely fucking up the near decade of balance they tuned in the first game with hundreds of thousands of hours of player experience and feedback. Bomb it now to prevent this direction, or bomb it later once it takes root and genuinely sucks? Will take the former.

@rubynesoberi Rogue likes are pretty notorious for having games where the fun comes from figuring out how and how much you can break the game. Some are tightly balanced like hades, but for some breaking it is part of their design and it's good.

@Pernyx_Kayn @PintLive The 2 aren't really comparable, as someone who has raided in both. They are difficult in very different ways. But if we had to compare somehow, later half of mythic raids would generally be harder than savage but easier than some ultimates.

@PintLive XIV is great for more casual players, I don't really think its meant to compete with WoW for more 'advanced' players. It isn't really what XIV is meant for.

If you take some time to review why you got 0-20 stomped, you can fix what is wrong and therefore improve at the game.

All you need to learn is mechanics, and some role specific elements. You can do that in your own ELO, I have done it. If you cannot, your fundamentals are not in your ELO

it’s a bit lower than 1% but you should absolutely not balance around low elo. you fundamentally cannot balance around people who don’t know how the game works
