Hailey Welch speaks on her HAWK coin launch
“The day the coin launched I actually had, I think two podcasts that day and the guy that was in the room with us, the one who was like operating the coin we noticed he was like pacing around everywhere, acting nervous”
“After we finished all the podcasts everybody went out the room and looked concerned and I’m like what is going on? I don’t understand what’s happened? They said oh nothing don’t worry about it. I pull up my TikTok and the next thing I know there’s all these posts saying I’m going to jail”
“After everything got figured out… I took every step you’re supposed to take, I was cooperative with the FBI and SEC. I even sent my phone off for days and had everything searched, the SEC cleared me”
“This traumatised me, I wouldn’t come out of the house for like months”
@ninelivescatt “Hey im at the hospital and unable to give my friend $500 cash at the casino. If they zelle/apple pay you upfront; would you be able to pay them cash for me” “its okay if you cant, thanks”
How hard was it to write this?

@JackRafff123@1000xwin@RobKuhn_ Its a valid question. If opponent is leading 14bb on turn and you think you have best hand you could get all the chips by charging all the draws. if the plan was to fold the river on blank cards to a jam, may as well fold the turn bet.
@tjreidpoker@WSOP So I take it texas is canceled? There isnt a gaming group here to do any approvals so that couldn’t be the reason.
Leaves me puzzled 🤨
For those asking, the @WSOP Circuit at Grand Victora IS still running. We don't have gaming approval to use the WSOP+ app yet, that's why it's not in the app. You can always find the full schedule advertised on our website.

Had this doozy of a hand yesterday with 6 left in the $250 Sunday Super Classic.
Chipleader opens UTG, 13 BB stack in HJ makes it 9 BBs, and I have the dreaded POCKET JACKS. Hand seems too strong to fold, but do we want to jam? I wasn't sure. Thought that it might be best to play our entire continuing range as a call. So that's what I did.
Folded back to the chipleader who SHOVES. Now what?
Payouts

"If you were a girl gaming online, people were actually so nice to you.. They treated you so well, they'd gift you free stuff.. It makes me sad"
We know our loyal staff, members, and followers have been anxiously waiting for an update regarding the recent events that led to the closure of the club. We recognize that the closure has had a serious impact for many. More than 200 staff members rely on The Lodge for their livelihoods, and many of our members have funds tied up in chips or pending tournament payouts. We understand the concern and frustration and we want everyone to know that it is not being taken lightly.
As much as we would like to provide a detailed update, we are unable to do so at this time because, despite our legal team’s best efforts to obtain additional information from the authorities, very little information has been made available.
What we do know is that no charges have been filed, and we remain committed to cooperating fully so that any concerns can be addressed. At the same time, we can confirm that all of the club’s assets and bank accounts have been frozen. In addition, we have been told not to re-open until the investigation concludes.
The Lodge has always taken its obligation to operate lawfully very seriously. The leadership team is committed to ensuring that The Lodge operates transparently, responsibly, and in good faith within Texas law by emphasizing strengthened oversight and continued improvement of operations.
Unfortunately, we do not know how long this process will take or when we will be allowed to operate again. We obviously believe that the longer our doors remain closed, the greater the impact becomes — not just on the business itself, but on the hundreds of staff members, vendors, partners, and community members who rely on The Lodge every day.
Your continued support of The Lodge — its traditions, its staff, and the community that exists inside these walls — means the world to us. We are upset and frustrated by the disruption this has caused and remain hopeful that we will be able to work constructively and with the authorities in a very timely manner so that we can move forward and reopen our doors. All we can do at the moment is to promise to share more information as soon as we are able.
In the meantime, if The Lodge has meant something to you — as a place to play, work, or build friendships — we encourage you to share your support in the comments. Hearing from this community means more to our staff and leadership team than we can put into words.
The @WPT Wildcard "Wacky Weekend" takes place this weekend at @LodgePokerATX!
The full schedule can be seen here, including the return of the popular "Deuces Wild" and "Mystery Bounty Chaos" tournaments:
@HoopsMike Tch social has a wsop circuit coming up. Consider dealing there if things with the lodge dont work out. They are a pretty solid place. Good luck!
@AllOrNubbin@derektenbusch The lodge is all just a front to advertise and push people to harmful sites like clubwpt. You go there and have fun in person or see the streams and then fall for the online poker that is rigged
@derektenbusch They’re saying money laundering and illegal gambling but no charges and no arrests. I find it insanely hard to believe that Doug would buy the lodge a couple years ago just to wash money and run illegal gambling ops. He’s crushing legally already. Risk/reward just isn’t there.
I don't know much about poker, but I do know more than I would like to about ALE, ABC, TABC (whatever they are called in your state). One thing is for sure, they don't often conduct raids if they are not holding the nuts. See how I worked it back to poker right there?
🔴 | EXCLUSIVE Authorities are investigating the @LodgePokerClub for alleged money laundering
A raid targeting The Lodge Card Club in Texas was over suspected money laundering and illegal gambling, a statement to PokerNews from the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) confirms.

Your ankle is a window into your heart.
A new study found that patients with a thickened Achilles tendon were nearly twice as likely to experience a major cardiovascular event within three years of a coronary stent procedure.
An observational study retrospectively compared outcomes for 1362 participants with coronary artery disease undergoing PCI, examining differences between patients with and without Achilles tendon thickening (defined as ≥8 mm in men or ≥7.5 mm in women).
Patients with thickened Achilles tendons faced a 99% higher risk of major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) over three years (28.4% vs 17.9% for those with and without thickening, respectively).
(MACE was defined as all-cause death, nonfatal myocardial infarction, stent thrombosis, stroke, and clinically driven target-vessel revascularization.)
Thickened Achilles tendons were more prevalent in patients with the more severe, rapidly developing, and less stable acute coronary syndrome (ACS) (24.3% had thickened tendons) compared to patients with the more stable chronic coronary syndrome (CCS) (13.7% had thickened tendons).
Among ACS patients, having a thickened Achilles tendon was a significant predictor, increasing the risk of a recurring major cardiovascular event within the next three years by 4.7 times.
The findings suggest that Achilles tendon thickening may serve as a prognostic marker in patients with cardiovascular disease, with special value in predicting early recurrence of major adverse cardiovascular events in patients with acute coronary syndrome.
While the analysis did not include blood cholesterol levels and does not establish causation, one plausible explanation is that Achilles tendon thickening reflects cumulative exposure to elevated LDL cholesterol over many years. This may be especially relevant in familial hypercholesterolemia, a genetic disorder characterized by markedly elevated LDL cholesterol, in which Achilles tendon thickening is also used as a diagnostic criterion.
@jrouldz@WalksWallstreet Could be that demand is high but its most likely that supply is artificially low. There are too many restrictions that are keeping the supply too low.
I think you have it backwards my guy
supply and demand in effect = if people are willing to pay "mansion" prices for an 800ft apartment then there must be extremely high demand for them
hence, not overpriced. market dynamics set price they are worth whatever people are willing to pay 👍
