@Creyative2 @shaandelhite True. Add to the fact that KC being CM wud mean risking a MP seat in the parliament, esp in such harsh conditions at the centre.

If there are contenders there will be supporters, it doesn't mean party is divided, but rather being democratic. But the real danger is when this process is sabotaged by showing favoritism rather than merits. One of the contender here is a member of the High Command with essential influence amoung its member and close to Rahul. Such a person shouldnt have been made a contender. VD+ RC is more than enough to lead team UDF

In today’s meeting, Congress high command, including Rahul Gandhi ji and Mallikarjun Kharge ji, has warned all three contenders against indulging in factionalism. Party leadership has clearly stated that in the past, elections were lost because of internal fighting and groupism. Rahul ji emphasized that the victory belongs to the Congress party and the UDF as a whole, not to any single individual. Congress high command has also made it clear that any contender encouraging factionalism, abuse, or division among supporters could face disqualification. The leadership knows how to take the right decision, and after consultations, an appropriate decision will be taken at the right time. At least after this clear message, supporters of V. D. Satheesan, Ramesh Chennithala and KC Venugopal should stop fighting and wait for the high command’s decision.

@catchjith7 @shaandelhite Same. This is a test for RG & congress leadership. If they ignore people's mandate & fall for favortism and factionalism, it will result erosion of public trust in Congress.

@shaandelhite I believe in RG and his vision. I have defended him against people who said he doesn’t make wise decisions. I still hope he will take the right decision based on reality and the sentiments of the people.But if not, for the first time in my life, I may begin to have doubts.

@shaandelhite High command could have easily avoided this scenario if they stuck to their original decision that MPs must not contest as it wud mean losing strength in the parliament. They cud hv strictly said to KC Venugopal that he is no exception.

@athulmnair1 To be honest, this hate for KC looks fabricated. He has brought funds for this election and gave tickets to new candidates and got them elected. Last time congress didn't even have the same sort of fund that they had now to win elections.

@mailtomukesh @DefiantDevii It is not abt having many capable leaders and final decision of High command shud be not an arbitrary one. The must respect the people's mandate. It is a democracy remember, & this is abt CM of a state not congress presdnt.

I am just a simple Congress worker. I don’t believe in fanaticism or hero worship. My only concern is that this infighting should not go out of hand. We have many capable leaders, and ultimately the high command will take the final decision after hearing everyone, including the MLAs. As party workers, our duty is to respect that decision and stay united for the larger interest of the party. I am born and brought up in Delhi and I know what Delhi wants. Congress is all we want

Dear Congress supporters, Supporting your favourite leader is absolutely fine. Every leader has their own style, strengths, and followers. But turning social media into a battlefield against fellow Congress leaders is harming the party more than helping any individual. Whether it is supporters of VD Satheesan, KC Venugopal, Sachin Pilot, Ashok Gehlot, or anyone else ,constant attacks, mockery, and factional trolling only weaken the collective movement.
