Igbos don’t need Nigeria to survive or prosper. Nigeria needs Igbos, Igbos don’t need Nigeria to be richer. After the civil war, they got just £20 and no federal support, but they rebuilt through trade, industry, and community effort. The country has never benefited Igbos not even from the oil. Igbo land, from Aba to Onitsha and Nnewi is built through hard work and private enterprise. Self-determination is about dignity, security, and fair governance, not quick riches.
