@jnrlebronjames @Kenyans I don't see religion as the problem. Rather, someone disingenuously using religion as a tool to seek political support/votes

In 2012, IEBC conducted a fresh voter registration for all Kenyans, since it was the first time biometrics were used to register voters following the promulgation of the new constitution. It was during this mass voter registration that BVR kits were first used. In that case, EVERYONE who voted in 2013, 2017 and 2022 is definitely registered using biometrics. In this regard, IEBC chair Ethekon should avoid making statements intended to cause confusion, and instead clarify the following issue for us: ✅ Total number of verified voters nationally and per county ✅ The exact number of registered voters per county whose biometrics were not captured in 2012, and therefore have not had a chance to vote since 2013.

While in Narok yesterday, as Greens we called out the systematic weakening of environmental protection under this regime. ●Lifting the logging ban in Mau Forest. ●Cutting down indigenous trees in Karura. ●Hiving off 99 acres of Nairobi National Park. This is a pattern of the blantant disregard of our ecosystems. Environmental protection is envisioned in the Constitution of Kenya, 2010. It must be upheld. Listen to the @UGMParty Co-SG @kattoloo break it down below. #UkatibaMovement #UGMParty #Kumekucha

Our country is living paycheck to paycheck. When you are spending over 90% of your income on debt service, and you are not interested in pursuing change, reality is bound to catch up with you. You cannot defy gravity forever. Take a look at the first attachment, which is telling you that our country is now beginning to default on debt. We owe over KSH 12 trillion in debt. Take a look at the second attachment, which shows you the price we pay to the most useless group of politicians anywhere in the world. A Kenyan earns on average KSH 20,000 a month. That same Kenyan must provide KSH 18,000 A DAY TO A SENATOR, for his meals and drinks. A DAY. On top of KSH 738,000 in "travel expenses" in a freaking month. And housing. Luxury cars. Bodyguards. Insurance. Tuition. Etc. We have one overarching national interest in Kenya, the service of the political class. And you know this is true, because, we apparently can somehow justify cutting capitation for secondary schools from KSH 22,000 to KSH 12,000. We do that, while continuing our march to Singapore. We can tell young, striking doctors that we cannot pay them a living wage. We can tell citizens undergoing cancer care that we are unable to meet their basic needs at the worst point in their lives. We can shoot young Kenyans on our streets when they demand a fair and just economic system. But you know what we cannot do? Ask politicians to take a pay cut. Kenyans politicians are the second highest paid politicians on this plant, when you control for the size of our GDP. But they cannot take even a 10% pay cut. Understand the greed culture in our politics. You pay someone a basic salary of over KSH 620,000. Give him or her a car. A housing allowance. A mansion, or two. Healthcare. Bodyguards. But he or she still will not buy his own food. You, with your KSH 20,000 a month income, must pay for his meals. And when we start missing payments on all this debt, @WilliamsRuto and his government say its time for austerity. Not for everyone, though. Only for the average Kenyan.
