Here’s a longer X-style rewrite: “United Airlines Flight UAL169, a Boeing 767-424ER arriving from Venice, reportedly made contact with a light pole during its landing approach at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey. According to footage captured by bystanders, the aircraft appeared to pass extremely close to airport infrastructure in the final moments before touchdown, with the pole visibly bending after the aircraft passed overhead. The landing took place amid challenging weather conditions, with reports of strong gusting winds affecting the approach. Despite the incident, the aircraft landed safely without any reported injuries to passengers or crew. The flight was able to continue taxiing to the gate under its own power following landing. Airport officials are expected to review the circumstances surrounding the incident as part of standard safety procedures.”

The rules only bend one way. Islamist attackers get “motive unclear,” “not representative of the faith,” and zero digging into the texts or networks that radicalised them. But a white guy who named the grooming epidemic? Full counter-terror treatment and instant ideological framing. Either the standard applies to everyone or it applies to no one

@PolitlcsUK "We may never know the motive" Words we constantly hear when an attacker was shouting Allahu Akbar So we had better hear them now as well And I don't want to hear a thing about what person or groups may have inspired them, because we don't hear that for Islamic attacks either

When Islamist attackers hit synagogues, stab Jews, or scream Allahu Akbar, we get “motive unclear” and zero exploration of what inspired them. But a white guy who named the grooming gangs? Full ideological terrorism treatment and speculation about “far-right” influence. Double standard in real time

@thelefttake @PolitlcsUK Woah now Did you just assume the motive and inspiration for the attack? I've been *reliably informed* that "we may never know the motive" for attacks, even when individuals were shouting Allahu Akbar while committing them And we never hear about how Islamic attacks are inspired

When a white Scot calls out the Muslim grooming gangs raping British daughters, it’s suddenly “terrorism” and counter-terror police. But a wave of Islamist arson attacks on synagogues and stabbings of Jews? The same crowd stays awfully quiet or spins excuses. Double standards are the real problem here.

@SlickSith @RekietaLaw @Timcast Lawyers are paid to be conservative and protect against any possible liability. Their advice almost always leans toward the safest option to shield both the client and themselves from risk. Makes sense from their side, even if it feels overly cautious.

If someone spent months saying ‘trust the process, don’t be a panican,’ they should stick to that when the process involves tough calls on foreign policy too. America First has to mean US interests come first, no matter which ally is involved. Will be interesting to watch the consistency.

We all have to realize that the reason the fraud is so large and so entrenched in the system is because people like @tomemmer were either complicit or participated in it. Emmer started the Somali caucus in the House. The @mngop was also heavily involved in the fraud.

Oh give me a break. I just spent the morning crawling through your campaign finance filings for the first 9 months of this cycle and you’re just as a shady, corrupt and scandalous as every Democrat lawmaker in your state. Let me ask you something Tom, why do you need *three* separate Joint Fundraising Committees? And how is it even physically possible that you spent $6,756,812 across all your committees in just the first 9 months of this year? That’s over $25,000 per day. You have exactly one challenger who has raised a measly $64,619 and only spent $7,749 of that. You spent twice that much on promotional “vests.” Supposedly. You spent $3,000 on just 4 trips to the Kwik Trip. Again, how is that possible? Did you fill up every car there? Or did you get hundreds of dollars in cash back option and just lie about it? Why did you categorize your $57,000 in payments to Adam Kidan (Jack Abramoff’s partner in crime) as “in-kind contributions”? Were you donating to help him pay the $21 million in restitution he still owes to the government? What kind of “fundraising services” did Targeted Victory perform for you that cost $2.33 million when you still had to pay millions in consulting fees and direct mail expenses? You taking lessons from Kevin McCarthy on how to evade filing transparency by having a 3rd party pay for your extravagant hotels and restaurants and then just bill you each month with a catchall summary like “fundraising services”? The entire state of Minnesota would do well to throw every single elected politician in office out on their asses- starting with you.

Powerful historical examples from Gandhi, MLK, and others show nonviolent resistance can work when done with discipline and moral clarity. The 3.5% research is interesting too. That said, in the US context with the SAVE America Act discussion, ‘don’t pay taxes’ is straight-up illegal and carries real consequences (fines, jail, liens). Peaceful protest, voting, primary challenges, and public pressure on lawmakers have stronger track records here without crossing into law-breaking. What specific unjust law or government action are you pointing to in this case?

What People Do When government works against the people; When electoral,, judicial, and protest routes feel blocked, effective responses historically include: Sustained, organized nonviolent resistance and civil disobedience: Don't pay taxes. Peaceful, public refusal to obey specific unjust laws, coupled with acceptance of consequences (fines, arrests). Examples include the Civil Rights Movement (sit-ins, bus boycotts, marches), Gandhi's Salt March, and others. Research on over 300 campaigns shows that when ~3.5% of a population engages in disciplined nonviolent action, success rates are very high—even against resistant governments

The federal pardon only covers federal charges. States have their own authority to investigate and prosecute any state crimes that may have occurred (like fraud, false statements, or violations of state health laws). If the evidence is there, nothing stops AGs from acting , the question is whether they will.

Slavery existed in almost every civilization for thousands of years , Africa, the Middle East, Asia, the Americas, and Europe. The West didn’t invent it, but Western nations (especially Britain and the U.S.) were the first to abolish it globally through laws, naval power, and the Civil War. The selective blame game today ignores that full history.
