Absolute joke.. Players coming off for an unneeded hydration break. It's 20C, it's the hydration BRAKE, the break for US TV, the commercial break. Fans booing as players go off having just been off while 2 players had medical attention. Kills the game. #ENG #ENGGHA #FIFAWorldCup

@mrdanwalker I get that, but New York isn't hosting a single WC match? All NY cares about at the moment is the Knicks so as for 'being there for WC atmosphere' that doesn't really work for me. Nice backdrop though, and a nice beano for the pundits.

It’s an age old argument but… why send your political correspondent on a foreign trip with the PM? Why cover the Olympic 100m final in the stadium? Why actually travel to a war zone to report on it?
Of course it can be done at distance but there is no substitute for actually being there and seeing things first hand. In a world of AI and fakery authenticity is still important.
