@JerryStraub1s @ShawnRyan762 Where do you think these wars are heading? Do you think USA will deploy ground troops? And do you think Europe will join Ukraine with full force? And what about the debt? I am genuinely curious..
English

@ShawnRyan762 China imports between 60-70% of its oil. It gets this oil mainly from Russia Saudi and Malaysia (rebranded Iranian and Venezuelan). It imports 40+% of its LNG mostly from Qatar. Putin is asking its oligarchs for cash. Saudi is pro USA and we control Malaysian oil. Qatar isn’t exporting LNG now. If you think China has improved its position in the world, data disagrees. Foreign investment in manufacturing peeked in 2023. They have a serious birth rate problem for a country that depends on its control of production (communism) that’s an issue. They are essentially an island when you consider their geography. Siberia on one side, the Hymalayas in the south and cold water ports to the east.

The petrodollar is the foundation of American power. Since the 1970s, oil has only been sold in dollars, forcing every nation on earth to hold dollars, fund our debt, and keep us dominant.
Iran just systematically dismantled that. They closed Hormuz, cutting 25% of global oil supply. Spiked oil to $118 a barrel. Then forced ships to pay in Chinese yuan for passage. Now Gulf states are dumping US treasuries, bond markets are selling off, inflation is surging, Deutsche Bank is warning of a petroyuan era.
Every link in the petrodollar chain is snapping at once. When it's gone, your borrowing costs explode, your savings erode, and America loses the financial weapon that has kept us dominant for 50 years. China wins without ever pulling a trigger.

@TheMarcitect There are many economic benefits of hiding technology, more than military use that most people think.
For example, what if we have machines but some poor third world country doesn't?
Take this concept, but amplify 100x

@DoctorLemma Literal proof humanity is supposed to live in villages or small towns and not in cities with 15 million other people.

Just found out that on 9/11, when the United States shut its airspace, 38 planes got diverted to a tiny town in Atlantic Canada called Gander, Newfoundland.
The town’s population at the time was around 10,000 people. Overnight, 6,700 strangers arrived. The population nearly doubled in a few hours.
Apparently the town just opened up. Schools, churches, and community halls were turned into sleeping areas. Bus drivers who had been on strike came off the picket lines to shuttle passengers. Pharmacies filled prescriptions for free. The ice rink at the community centre became a giant fridge because there was so much donated food. People invited strangers into their homes for showers, meals, and a bed.
The passengers were only there for four days. Twenty-five years later, many of them are still in touch with their Newfoundland hosts. One flight raised money for a scholarship fund for kids in Gander. It started at 15,000 US dollars and has since paid out over a million dollars to local students.
A musical was made about it called Come From Away. It ran on Broadway for five years.
When a reporter asked one of the Newfoundland women why they did it, she said, “You don’t turn your back on people in need.”

The money doesn’t lie.
The evidence shows the charity who supposedly fought the Klan - FUNDED the Klan.
The charity who supposedly fought Neo-nazis - FUNDED Neo-nazis.
The SPLC engaged in a massive fraud operation to deceive their donors, funded the very hate groups they claim to oppose, and then hid their operations from the public through shell companies and fake entities.
This @FBI and @DAGToddBlanche won’t let them get away with it any longer.

@news314159265 @PopBase Don't forget the most important, they can brainwash kids tv shows if they want 😭😭😭

@nikitabier @ishowspeedsui Can you do something about these bots? It's slowly killing this website.

Today we're announcing two product changes for organizing communities on X:
1. XChat now supports joinable links for groupchats. Create a public link & share direct to Timeline. With support for 350 members per chat (and growing), Groupchat Links are the fastest way to bring people together on X.
2. Due to declining usage, we're deprecating X Communities on May 6.
To migrate your Community's members, pin your groupchat link so people can join it over the next 2 weeks.
This is part of our broader effort to simplify the experience on X. Make no mistake: we are investing heavily in niche communities with the launch of Custom Timelines—and much more to come.

@whatisnuclear I don't know much about nuclear reactors. What would the smallest nuclear reactor cost in real world?

I've been obsessed with the vast and untapped potential of civilian nuclear power at sea forever. I'm now the Chief Nuclear Officer at an exciting new company bringing nuclear power to maritime applications. There's much to do, so I'm looking for passionate and highly-skilled people who want to embark on this journey with me. Hit me up if you or someone you know may be interested. We need a Nuclear Licensing expert first, but will have many more openings in the pipeline.
*The company is currently operating in stealth mode

@avilewis I don't understand why can't we have our own oil refinery and ship oil to the world? We have so many resources. Start a drone factory from Ukraine maybe? I just don't understand why we don't invest in these things, or that we can't because of the USA?

Canada has already paid an "entry fee" in these negotiations — dropping counter-tariffs and scrapping the Digital Services Tax, a modest tax on the world's most profitable tech giants, at the behest of Donald Trump.
Those concessions got us nowhere.
Prime Minister Carney, now is not the time to concede further ground. Canada must show resolve in the face of Trump's bullying and stand up for workers, jobs, and Canadian industries.
