OMG!!!! For the first time in the history of the world, two people had an affair and may have had a child born out of that affair. And it was after they rented a boat no less!!! What blasphemy (said while pearl clutching). I mean at a minimum they should have their entire lives ruined, lose their careers, assets and everything else they ever cared about, and also be paraded through the streets so they can be ridiculed and stoned. And their families should also suffer further repeated humiliation. Because all of the rest of us are without fault or sin, right? GTFOH
TMZ@TMZ

😳 EXCLUSIVE: Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russini rented a private boat while she was pregnant... Details: tmz.me/SxMrkTF

Few thoughts on Vrabel stuff (b/c I’m sure you care) - cheaters are dirtbags - he might not be as smart as we thought (monsters just in Super Bowl not anonymous anywhere) - counseling bit was odd/performative - family dragged in by media not cool - jokes have been fun Beyond that (and braindead Eagles fans with tamper-foil hats), the reaction has been overblown/entitled. Many commenters seem deeply personally offended/outraged. Legit pissed off by strangers’ messy personal lives. They don’t owe you shit. Quit being weird.

@darrelltalksfi Just because you can access it early doesn’t mean you should. Tapping retirement funds early can derail long-term compounding. But.. if you do need it, the money is accessible.

“Retirement accounts are a scam. I can’t access my money until 59.5.” Wrong. The Rule of 72(t) lets you tap into your retirement accounts early. No 10% penalty. Here’s how:

🚨 Anthropic published a blog post saying Claude can modernize COBOL code and IBM instantly lost $31 billion in market cap. The post: "Legacy code modernization stalled for years because understanding legacy code cost more than rewriting it. AI flips that equation." That's IBM's entire business model. COBOL runs banks, insurance companies, government systems. Written in the 60s-70s. Nobody knows it anymore. Rewriting it costs millions. So companies pay IBM billions to maintain it forever. Anthropic just said "Claude can do it now." One blog post. $31 billion gone. This is what AI disruption actually looks like.

35 Warren Buffett’s opinion of Bitcoin has been consistently and famously hostile. For over a decade, he has dismissed it as a speculative bubble with no underlying value. Here is a breakdown of his historical stance, his most famous quotes, and the specific reasoning behind his dislike. The Core Argument: "It Produces Nothing" Buffett’s primary objection is that Bitcoin is an unproductive asset. * His Reasoning: If you buy a farm, it produces food. If you buy a stock, the company produces earnings and dividends. If you buy Bitcoin, it produces nothing. You are simply hoping that someone else is willing to pay more for it later (what is known in finance as the "Greater Fool Theory"). * The Quote: "If you told me you own all of the Bitcoin in the world and you offered it to me for $25, I wouldn’t take it because what would I do with it? I’d have to sell it back to you one way or another. It isn’t going to do anything." (2022) Famous Quotes & Insults Buffett has used colorful language to describe his disdain for cryptocurrency: * "Rat poison squared" (2018): Perhaps his most famous insult, upgrading his partner Charlie Munger’s earlier comment that it was just "rat poison." * "A mirage" (2014): He warned investors to stay away, stating, "The idea that it has some huge intrinsic value is just a joke in my view." * "A gambling token" (2023): He compared investing in crypto to playing roulette, acknowledging that while people like to gamble, that doesn't make it a sound investment. Has He Changed His Mind? No. Even as Bitcoin's price has risen dramatically over the years, Buffett has not wavered. * Nuance: While Buffett personally hates Bitcoin, his company, Berkshire Hathaway, invested $500 million in Nubank (a Brazilian digital bank) in 2021. Nubank is crypto-friendly and offers Bitcoin trading to customers. However, this was likely a decision made by his investment managers (Todd Combs or Ted Weschler) based on the bank's rapid growth, rather than an endorsement of crypto by Buffett himself. Summary of His Philosophy Buffett believes in intrinsic value—the cash flowing from a business to its owners. Since Bitcoin generates no cash flow, he views it as fundamentally worthless, regardless of its market price.

Anyone outraged over the ICE shooting of Pretti needs to face a test. Be given a gun, and put in a room with an armed criminal, with 20 video cameras capturing the encounter from every angle. They can kill you at any time. You are only allowed to shoot the moment before 1/

What law or constitutional amendment was changed that suddenly made this a thing?
P a u l ◉@SkylineReport

“Papers, Please”: DHS Confirms Americans May Be Forced to Prove Citizenship DHS Secretary Kristi Noem has effectively confirmed that U.S. citizens can now be stopped, questioned, and required to prove who they are simply for being near an ICE operation, even if they’re not suspects — a dangerous shift toward suspicionless stops that has already led to citizens being detained and communities feeling forced to carry ID to avoid arrest, directly colliding with core Fourth Amendment protections and echoing the kind of dragnet policing the Constitution was written to stop. Brocky Purdy is coming off back-to-back games with at least five pass/rush TD, the only player in franchise history to accomplish that feat 😤 If he can repeat it a third straight time, he would be only the second player in NFL history ever to do it, joining Tom Brady in 2007.

Want to be clear that we are tracking the above stuff for Week 18 DFS contests. I would not bet any of it on sportsbooks. Books are now very aware, and even offering horrific pre-made parlays involving incentives. It's more than baked into all lines.

Being aware of records, milestones, & contract incentives has become table stakes for Week 18. Some notable ones: * Dak Prescott 34 yards ahead of Matthew Stafford for passing yard title, would be first Cowboys to ever do it * Jonathan Taylor 47 yards behind James Cook for rushing yard title * Justin Jefferson 53 yards short of 1,000 * Tony Pollard contract incentives: 66 rush yards for $250k and 2 rush TDs for $200k Tons more here: establishtherun.com/week-18-nfl-co…
