NEW: Outrage has broken out after Pope Leo appeared to quote Jesus using a passage that does not exist in the Bible. “Jesus told us, ‘Blessed are the peacemakers, but woe to those who manipulate religion in the very name of God for their own military, economic, or political gain, dragging that which is sacred into darkness and filth.’” The first line echoes scripture. The rest does not appear in any biblical passage. The Pope is being accused of using a fabricated quote from Jesus to push a political message.

I shot this portrait of @ScottAdamsSays just outside the doors of his office desk where he recorded each morning. There was still morning dew on the railing. Scott didn’t want to shoot in this spot, but I insisted, believing you might want to see Pleasanton, the Mayberry-esque California town he loved to mention on stream, in passing. He never once believed California was beyond fighting for politically. No cause of importance was ever hopeless in his eyes.

@TinaNixa @jaysonyork Dispensationalist here. The point she’s making applies equally to sincere believers of all types trying to understand Revelation. In 404 verses there are over 800 Old Testament quotes, allusions and figures of speech. It assumes you are a student of what comes before it.

I am of average intelligence, I study and preach the Bible vocationally, I teach the Bible multiple times a week, spend hours in study, counsel the word, etc: AND I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THIS MEANS AT ALL
