If you want to increase your wealth, reframe your objective. Too many people want to 'pay less tax'. Instead, we should want to 'maximise our after-tax wealth'. It's not the same thing. I'd rather pay $100 tax and end up with $500 than pay $10 tax and end up with $100.

Labor has promised $2b for green aluminium. LNP has promised (uncosted) tax-deductible lunches. Neither has outlined how these will be paid for - what offsetting tax revenue, spending cuts, or borrowing it'll rely on. We deserve to know. And they should commit to it. #auspol
