@RoxanaDaneshjou Apparantly major VCs reached out their portfolio companies' CEOs directly telling them they should withdraw their funds. One portfolio withdrew $1.5 billion alone. I think social media amplified and made this more visible but it would have happened anyway.

@hellosimar @Austen If the feds have to liquidate the assets to get the depositors some percentage of their money back that'll take months. Employees working for these depositors won't wait months to be paid. Keep in mind this scenario is not likely though. Why it's best to keep $ in several banks

Was wild to watch a lot of tech Twitter slowly move from jokes and memes about a run on a bank… To slowly realizing how devastating it would be if SVB simply went under. Truly catastrophic. Thousands of companies dead. Tens of thousands losing jobs. Systemic shock.
