You know what broke me when I was Muslim? Finding out that even Muhammad said he did not know if he was going to heaven. The man billions trust to lead them into paradise said in Surah 46:9: “I do not know what will happen to me or to you.” That shook me. Because if the prophet himself was uncertain about his eternity, why was I pretending to be certain about mine? I used to argue with Christians constantly, trying to tear down their faith while deep down I was terrified myself. I even used to joke about hell. I’d say, “Well, if I end up there, at least Muhammad will be there too.” And honestly? That joke was a cry for help. Because if your prophet cannot guarantee his own soul, how could my five prayers a day ever guarantee mine? That realization sent me searching. And eventually I stopped listening only to what people said about Jesus and went directly to the source. And Jesus did not speak with uncertainty. He said: “Whoever believes in Me has eternal life.” Not “maybe.” Not “hopefully.” Not “inshallah.” “It is finished.” That’s when everything changed for me. I traded the question mark of Islam for the finished work of the cross.

After all the years of working side by side , trusting each other with their lives , the dog doesn't understand transfers or orders - he only knows loyalty and love . Seeing him refuse to let go and run after the car shows how real that connection is . Moments like this remind us that animals love with their whole hearts , without conditions or explanations . There is an area kids can pet sting ray. Parents stand behind while kids lean over. This lady barged in, and stood right in front of me, behind my child. I ask her, “can you kindly move please, my child is there” pointing to my child. (I was behind her). She moved beside me here (pictured) But kept harassing. “Do you have something more to say to me!?” She demanded. I ignored her. I patted my daughter on the back and quietly said “let’s go hon”….. this woman (who I was still ignoring) got within inches of my face and said “yeah, you better be going”. I ignore her more. Turned to the nice people on my right, they looked scared of her chirping. Kids were scared. Her two kids were frozen in fear too. She was speaking in tongues at whatever she perceived was the slight. After a minute, of ignoring, I calmly mutter under my breath “lady, you’re scaring children”. My ancestors arrived in Canada 200 years ago before governments existed, built & fought for this nation; only for some perpetual-victim psychopath to tell me “I better leave an area” where we were simply safely enjoying ourselves first. When I was in school, whenever it is Salah, the class WhatsApp group is always filled with Eid Mubarak, Eid Kabir and other good wishes from Christians. When it is Christmas or Easter, the group is greeted with deafening silence. Nobody bothers to wish us Happy Christmas or Easter. They'll bring Salah meat for us, we'll eat. We don't even bother returning to school with Christmas or Easter Chicken, because nobody will eat from us. It baffles me a lot. I wonder if it's a taboo.
