@balbecdaze

Sometimes, pretty much all of the time really, a tweet from here will be from my partner, V. I mostly just read twitter and I should stop.

@mab0405_ They're mostly the ones in the South of the US - not even all the ones in the US have covered stadiums. You can't just move a match to another venue IN ANOTHER COUNTRY because of rain. Fans have paid to be in Mexico. TBF though having it over an entire continent was dumb (v)

Who'd have thought staging a World Cup in countries that are afraid of thunder and lightning at the peak of the thunder and lightning season might cause a problem? FIFA you're a bunch of fucking Muppets #MEXENG #ENGMEX

The more I watch videos of Brits getting completely wasted, the more it makes sense why their country is going downhill fast. They would rather drink themselves into a stupor and do stupid crap than save their own country. When are they going to wake up?

@iRonnnnie @cahatton30 @KimKatieUSA I only know what I see. I don’t worry about some rag post. Post all the stats you want from fake peer reviews. Just like the World Cup visitors saying we are not like the media says.

@MikeBerridge @Dominos_UK It's dominos UK Mike. Sarcastic humour is like the only second language we all have here. If the people with chains in other countries take it seriously then, lol, honestly! (v)

@JaredJConway @volcaholic1 Well that's lovely. Neither I, you, nor most of the rest of the current flora/fauna, nor any of the other humans, actually lived back then though. The 'Earth' will be fine. It's the ecosystems as they exist today (which includes humans) that will struggle as systems collapse (v)

@volcaholic1 100m years ago, the ocean was 600 feet higher. The average temperature was 10c higher. The Earth today is still in an ice age. Climate change hysteria is good for clicks and engagement I guess.

Heat index (what it feels like) up to 46.1°C (115°F) in New York, NY today. Looking forward to watching the power grid survive on thoughts, prayers, and millions of AC units running at once. But I'm sure it's fine. The solution to extreme climate collapse is just "buying AC." Right?

@KyleHollSays @volcaholic1 "we" who? Are you German? So far as I know only Germany has deliberately stopped Nuclear plants before their actual 'end of life' for reasons tied to the waste produced (v)

@volcaholic1 We had unlimited, cheap, carbon-free electricity, but the hippies shut down all the nuclear power plants.

@truthnogetpikin @I_amMukhtar @smerkinkones Yeah, I also know of a couple of born-in-the-US (no less!) people who are also massive genuine fans. One coaches the younger teams in his local area (his son is on the team). They're also both NYC though which might make them rarer (US wise) (v)

@BoardOfPeace I assume all the Palestinains have full right of return then and will now be able to reclaim their lands as they're no longer, according to you, refugees? Might be messy with those living in their stolen homes, hope you have a plan for that (v)

Just as the BBC, @Channel4News etc wheeled out every Labour Right former Minister, on an a daily basis, to attack Corbyn, often feeding them their lines, we’re now seeing the same with @CarolineLucas, who is clearly going to be used to undermine @ZackPolanski and @TheGreenParty.

@MaryLefteris @CeilNoyle Surely though 'sounds the part' means 'their voice sounds like you imagine a person in charge of a country would sound like' though? He's reacting to someone saying that it *does* matter and was also 'judging' it as a positive for them? (v)

@SaulStaniforth I would like the conversation to be around "funding welfare properly or.. how to bring down defense spending" Which would dramatically improve more people's lives and ironically make the safety of our MPs etc more secure (v)

Victoria Derbyshire: "Is it weird to you that the country doesn't know how [Burnham] would deal with some of the really big issues like funding defence properly or.. how to bring down welfare spending" Framing the narrative. Disappointing from Derbyshire.
