Met4Cast - UK Weather

This is goodbye 👋 I have been giving this a lot of thought over the past couple of months and I’ve decided, due to changing circumstances that I will no longer be updating this account or any other accounts. It’s been a lot of fun over the past 8 years I’ve been on this platform and I’ve learned a significant amount about weather and forecasting, thank you for following along and joining in and I hope my updates over the years have proven useful. In my mind, the landscape for weather information is shifting and accounts like mine are becoming less useful or relied upon in the way they once were. The rise of misinformation and personal attacks directed by idiots, towards those who post “red maps” and discuss weather mean that this hobby is no longer fun, it’s become rather tedious and I’ve always said when it stops being fun then it’s time to stop. I will still be tracking and keeping an eye on the weather more privately, of course, my interest in that side of things is still very much alive and likely always will be! ⛈️ God speed ✈️ stay safe. Spend as much time in nature as you possibly can. Enjoy the weather, whatever it is. Thank you.

SO THIS IS WHAT GLOBAL WARMING LOOKS LIKE At the Vostok station in Antarctica, a temperature of −76.4 °C last Tuesday. This is the lowest value ever recorded on the continent in March and also a global record for this month. This is significantly below average image #Ventusky

A spell of unsettled weather across the UK over the next 5-7 days with spells of rain (and perhaps snow over northern hills). Could be rather windy at times in the north and west. Welcome back Autumn?
