It wasn’t ‘horrific’. It was weather most Brits pay thousands a year for when they travel to sunnier climates.
Your posts are littered with implied doom and catastrophe caused by human production of C02. It’s a moot point and not scientifically proven. Even the IPCC only goes as far as saying it is highly likely that C02 is driving ‘climate change’.
Whilst I don’t deny some warming is caused by increased C02 I disagree with the ‘fearful consequences’ and the ridiculous doomsday forecasting.
You are on trend, for now.
4 years ago today the UK exceeded 40°C for the first time in recorded history.
Multiple over stations exceeded the previous all time temperature record and several other stations reached or exceeded 40°C, the high was of course 40.3°C.
What a horrific day.
@Met4CastUK All these climate hysteria invokes the opposite reaction and tolerance by sensible people! Just 2 years ago was one of the wettest summer in the Alpes, beating max groundwater levels! So what!
I suppose the fact we are in a climate crisis and have literally seen hundreds of temperature records broken in the last few months means absolutely nothing, then.
Climate change is going to get to a point where we can no longer adapt.

Or glorious weather!
Temperatures as you well know don’t add. A reading of 100 in one place and at 0 in another place does not give you and average of 50. The figure is meaningless! So is the highest figure. Just 10 yards away the temperature will be different. It will also be radically different in the morning and evening.
This is fear porn! Shame on you.
Today was the 13th consecutive day where temperatures exceeded 30°C.
That brings us equal to 2018 for the number of days >30°C with only 1995 remaining ahead.
27.4ºC at Exeter Airport today ends the 13-day consecutive streak of ≥30ºC maximum temperatures in the UK, the highest since 2006; this puts the UK total of ≥30ºC days at 28. This is the second-highest on record annually, tied with 2018. 1995 holds the record with 34 days.
@Met4CastUK Same time, Arctic recorded a temperature of 38C (100 F), for the first time, don't worry, the Antarctic will get it heat again soon.... it is called, winter and summer.
Concordia, Antarctica has recorded a low of -84.1C, just 0.5C above it's all time low temperature record.
Reports suggest this is the lowest temperature recorded on earth since 2012, quite a severe cold spell of weather, even by Antarctica standards.
For the first time in a long while weather models are predicting rainfall ☔️
The downside is that it won’t arrive until next weekend, a cyclonic period of weather to end the month before the drier (& potentially hotter?) weather potentially returns in August.
@Met4CastUK No oil back in the day during the Roman and Medieval times. Romand introduced fig trees, citrus trees to the UK.
Fruit trees bloomed twice in 1 season.
