I’ll admit life has been on difficult mode lately, but that hasn’t deterred off-screen progress. This is proof that you can do anything. Many months ago this was a dream and an idea in my head. Now I wield it in physical form. This was the first proof of concept, ordered through @JLC3DP. I was a first-time customer as well. The parts are dimensionally accurate and within spec for what I need. I noticed some details were scrubbed away with support removal and cleanup. With the design finished and prototype parts approved, my next step is finding a stateside 🇺🇸 partner to manufacture them with a better surface finish at this stage (pre-polishing) for a reasonable cost. When it’s time for pre-orders, I will order a total of 50 units: 300 parts—100 frames and 200 connectors. Please DM me if you provide Titanium Additive Manufacturing solutions.

If powder bed systems are full of powder… why do metal prints still need supports? Because heat. A 30µm molten layer will curl like a potato chip unless it’s tied into the plate to sink heat. That’s what supports are really doing.🤝
