@UndeadDan @GFRobot Let’s ask an actual writer for the show? Today - it had nothing to do with ANY kind of sexual misconduct. A lot of us knew this but it’s fine I suppose, if you really wish to cancel the guy for something he didn’t do. The silence and rubbish spoke about this is abuse.

In hindsight, the character of Xander on Buffy the Vampire Slayer could be problematic at times. But that was solely due to how he was written. Never due to how he was portrayed by Nicholas Brendon. Brendon gave Xander so much heart and wit and tenderness. He will be missed. 💔

At first I was disappointed that Hulu cancelled the new Buffy series... until some of the script was released. Wow, that was going to be a trainwreck.

Which I find incredible frustrating, we don’t have any information about the conflict so the default was it had to be sexual. What if not? And people know it’s not, just leaving it like this. I also want to point out that a lot of the quotes supposedly said by Whedon have come from "anonymous sources" or second-hand or third-hand sources, making them unreliable. I had this analyzed to see if it's a smear campaign and all signs point to yes.

However that had been would have had issues, but with Joss he was not used to be challenged over his skills/craft. Anyone else may just crumbled….

He said he didn't have it in him to keep fighting the studio after that tragedy. Can't blame him. If a filmmaker isn't on the same page as the studio, it never works.

Haha. True! It sounds like it was not a fun situation to step into. I'm surprised the actors didn't recognize that it happened due to their previous director's tragedy and choice to step away. I think perhaps they could have handled it better. Sad that the person who tried to help finish the movie got blamed.

He may have just said, this scene and you will look stupid if you don’t x,y,z. It’s reported he said “I’ll make you look stupid”.

Ben was drinking, Ray didn’t want to say line, Alfred didn’t like the lines, Gal disagreed with lines. I mean, sheesh it’s a wonder it happened at all

I think he was correct and she was not, she either didn’t understand OR she did and was so unhappy she reported it.
