It’s taking warm pastrami and putting it on rye bread with Swiss cheese (if you aren’t kosher) and some mustard. It costs $6 in ingredients and that’s with a 1/4lb of meat and a 1/4lb cheese.

@UndeadDan @MattDeLuca @Bas3dPhilosophy Sir. I didn't come to this convo to ask for pastrami recipes, the point is it's easier and faster and cheaper for a young person to buy one pastrami sandwich than make one from scratch and if you challenge me on that, you're literally nuts.

Now people are saying cooking at home is a luxury because it's expensive to buy a..... Pan... And things. Because apparently eating out is CHEAPER... Then....a pan. 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

@KiraBrook @Bas3dPhilosophy It’s really not. Most cuisines can be covered by about 12 spices and 5 sauces. Indian and other South Asian dishes are the biggest stumbling block.

@Bas3dPhilosophy It is expensive to cook if you want variety. Not everyone is good at cooking, and they really shouldn't be shamed if they want a dish they can't make themselves.

And I know that because my life isn’t so empty that I am desperate to find moral superiority in a goddamn hotplate. Shockingly it’s easier to buy groceries and prep your own food when you have things like YOUR OWN HOME which includes room for a panty and a kitchen with storage because you aren’t living in a 2 bedroom apartment with 3 roommates.
